I know a guy who went there on a student visa and stayed for quite a while. Now he just leaves the country every few months, crosses the border and comes back in after a few days and he gets to stay legally. As I understand it a lot of people there make these "visa runs".
It does not appear to be that difficult to immigrate to Thailand. |

No one can answer your question without knowing more about your situation. The easiest it seems is the Retirement visa. Other ways are by marriage or a Thai family you support. You own a business or work here. Go to school here. Almost all non-immigrate visas are good for one year and you have to extend it every year after that.
What you need to do is search for the website for the Thai Embassy in your country, Read the requirements for the type of visa you think you can qualify for. Then you can ask more questions if you don't understand.
The rules here in Thailand have changed and now those visa runs are being looked at. You can only stay in Thailand no more then 90 days doing visa runs and then you have to leave for 6 months.
Looking at some of your other questions now, I see you are only a kid. I think you need to grow up first before you decide to leave your own country. Thailand is not the place to try to survive as a young kid you will be used and abused. I don't know where you are from but visas are different depending on what country you are from. Don't based someone who lives in the USA or UK to the country you live in. |
