Yes and you should. Report him to INS and ICE also. All you have to do is mail the INS a letter with his data (name, age, nationality,..)& a short story about him and ill intention. Call I.C.E and speak to an agent over the phone & u don't even have to give information about yourself. BRAVO !
People should report all illegals! |

First of, it is a crime to get married for the sake of obtaining a green card.
Secondly, I don't know what this fellow did to you, but let your conscience be your guide. At worst, you will be arrested for participating in the sham wedding. He will get deported. |

Yes it's illegal. Yes, it would get him busted if you reported him. I wonder, though, what your real reason is for this? Is he that bad or are you coming off a really bad break up? |

YES!!!! IT"S CALLED FRAUD!!!!! |

Yes, it is illegal. Such a marriage constitutes fraud and can be nullified and willing participants prosecuted or deported. |
|

Justine
 |
If he's your ex-fiance, doesn't it mean you guys are not married? So you can't technically report him if he hasn't married you for a green card yet... |

YES, and YES!! |

Probably would solve the problem of that happening again. |

Yes, it is illegal. But, since you didn't marry the guy, I don't think it will do you any good to report it. You might want to warn the next victim though. |
|

LC
|
Of course it will.
You can turn him in and MAYBE he will be charged with fraud and get deported. It's worth a shot if he used you to just do that and told you that. |

A little bitter?! LOL! I bet you weren't even thinking of turning him in when you thought he was only scr**ing you right?! |

Yes, it is illegal. Before reporting him, be real sure you can prove that he was using you to get a green card and that you didn't know that is what he was doing, |

it is illegal, but, you really would have a hard time proving it. |
|

Obama will lose, wait and see
 |
yes it would be classified as "illegal". you could also be in hot water if you marry someone just to get them a "green card". If in fact your ex used you to get a "green card" then yes report him. Does he have a "green card"? If so, it had to have been given to him other than marrying you. Since you two didn't marry, he had to have gotten it some other way. But, do what your heart says to do. |

Yes, he is trying to marry you "not in good faith." Also known as marriage fraud. If you report him to the INS, he could be deported. I say go for it. |

The short answer is yes. But depend on his visa status. If he is British, they have special status. They dont need visa for staying in U.S. for less than 3 months. If he is here with K-1, fiancee visa, he may be deported. Immigration laws are complex and the devil is in the details. |

I am not entirely sure, but I don't think it would bring any harm to you. If you report him, the best it can do is get him deported possibly. Go for it if you feel it is necessary, but otherwise don't bother about it and just forget about him. |

No unless you have evidence. For your sake start collecting it now! This is a very hard thing to prove. Good luck! |

Sorry to say ,you sound like a woman scorned ,be glad you didn't marry a cheat. Live and let live, and find someone worthy of your love. |

Yes someone can get deported for trying to marry you just for a green card, and you should report him. |

Yes Report This To Immigration Services. Because It Is A Scam And He Is Taking Advantage Of U. There Is Probally Reason He Want To Come To The USA And If U Knowingly Help Him U Can Be Charged With Accesorry To What Ever Is Going On with Him. He May Be ur Ex but cease contact with him right away he is using ur trust in him to have u help him out and that not ok |

it is illegal to marry some one for a green card or citizenship. yes it can be reported
aren't you only doing it out of revenge? That's more hurtful to you than any one else. |
|

Wyleeguy
|
Unless he can prove you knew you were marrying him so he could get a green card you should be safe. However, a good human being would be 100% certain before ruining someones life in this way before destroying a marrige and getting him deported. |

PoohP
 |
My understanding is that it is NOT illegal, or rather,
it is not prosecutable unless you get divorced!
Then the government might pursue a charge on
marrying just to get a green card.
You can marry for whatever reason you want. |
