All Illegals should be deported...regardless of their origin country.
The two main reasons much attention is being paid to Mexican immigration are:
#1 70% of illegals come from Mexico.
#2 The illegals and their supporters were marching in our streets waving the Mexican flag...a whole sea of Mexican flags.
We didn't point the focus on them. They called attention to themselves. |

Of course. Europeans and Asians aren't walking across the border and not that many are flying in here and overstaying their visas no matter what Vincente Fox would have you believe.
And the focus in on "ILLEGAL" immigration. Can we please focus this debate where it belongs. There is a legal immigration process for all people who desire to come here. Let me say that again...there is a LEGAL process.
Why is this hard to understand?? There are 11 million illegal immigrants in this country (how they counted I don't know), but nonetheless they are here. They are all over Tulsa and when I lived in East Tennessee, they were all over the place there as well. It's not hard to find illegals, chances are they are busy building homes in a subdivision near you or picking some agricultural product not that far from you.
I have a state trooper buddy who tells me the stories of pulling over van loads of illegals and INS just tells them to turn them around south.
So the answer to your question is that our efforts should be focused on Mexican/S. American immigrants. They do not have more right to be here than others wishing to immigrate legally and they certainly have not earned the right as an American citizen. Which begs the question...why do American Citizens seem to have no rights or voice in this debate?? Should not we be the voice that counts in this argument rather than the herds of illegals marching through our streets waving the flags of their native country.
At another time in our history, we would have seen such marches as an act of war.

Do we have a problem with illegal immigration from Asia or Europe? Nope, they can't swim that far.
If we only had a small ocean between the US and Mexico.. It would save a lot of taxpayers dollars. |

HELLO......the reality is that the majority of ILLEGAL immigrants are from Mexico/Latin America. Most Americans have no issue with people that want to come here LEGALLY and become citizens..... |

There may be some truth to this, but mainly, I believe, it is because of two reasons.
1. There are far more illegals from Mexico who end up using our social services...hospitals, medicaid...etc.... They also are in our school in larger numbers and there are some very violent gangs associated with the Mexican immigrant population.
It is just harder for people from Asia and Europe to get here illegally. If they get a visa and overstay it, chances are that they were well employable
2. This is a big one....you didn't see millions of Irish running around demanding rights while waving their flags. No, on St. Patrick's Day, you might see a million Irish on the march but they are only waving Guinness and demanding more Guinness.
There is a feeling among some in Mexico that they SHOULD send their poor to the USA to make money that they send home. These aren't people wanting to be citizens if the USA...it seems they just want to use and abuse us... |

They are focused on all forms of illegals- the reason it seems that way is that few illegals come from Europe or Asia. They are from Mexico and from South America- they proved that with their protests. (When they marched under their foreign flags.) This has also been proven statistically. |

European immigration is virtually non-existant. And if a European wants to come to live in America, they generally go through the correct process in order to become a citizen.
The problem with Mexican and South American immigration is that the majority of it is ILLEGAL. Against the law. Naturally, we should be focused on instances of mass illegality in the country. |

The problem of illegal entry is centered on the Mexican border. 20 million illegal Mexicans are here. Asian and European illegals is not as big a problem because of their distance from our borders. |

Mexico's closest, so they'll end up being first, one way or another, demographically they're also the heaviest represented in terms of illegal immigration numbers in america, I'd imagine asia's a close second, followed by central america....you'd have to look it up to find out for sure, but suffice it to say that Mexico's the starting point, not the end-point...immigration reform's been a festering blister on the nation's *** for a long time, may as well get a nice clean needle, and lance that baby...
The sooner we have better immigration policies enacted, the sooner we'll have better relations with other countries... |

You're not hearing about other Illegals because their not marching and protesting in the streets demanding rights,even though they broke the Law coming here.....
For some reason the Pro-Illegal movement thinks getting Illegal mexicans to do this will help their cause....

We do NOT have that many illegals here from ANY OTHER country, ONLY mexico!!!!!!!! And,GOD FORBID,if Bush and the Senate has their way, the senate amnesty bill allows for about 200 million MORE!!!!!!!! |

Probably because the illegal Asian, European, and African aliens have enough sense to realize that they DON'T have a right to be here. That they are like thieves in the night. They don't have the audacity to DEMAND that they be made citizens even if they are here illegally. I know a lot of Asians look down on illegal Asian aliens.
Regardless of their actions or lack thereof they should be deported right along with the illegal Mexican aliens. I'm all about fairness, the same treatment across the board. That also means i'm against special treatment for illegal Mexican aliens. They aren't any more special then people from anywhere else, IMO. |

The US focuses on ALL illegal immigration. It's just that a majority of the problem, as well as criminals, is coming from Mexico. That is why there seems to be so much focus in that area.

If you think about it, they don't seem that concerned with canadians either...and they would proably be the next biggest problem to mexicans and such because we share a border with them as well. But as for european and asian...it takes a while for them to get here, i think they'd be spotted well before they made it to american soil, where as mexicans it's just 'duck be hind the bush until he looks the other way then make a run for it'
but that's just my personal opinion on it. The real question is what's with sending all those guys from the army guard to the border, but not giving them guns? Are they all going down there to hold hands and play Red Rover? They'd proably deploy a lot less down to the border if they gave them all tranqulizer guns... |
