No. They need to get in line behind everyone else and do it the legal way. Just coming here and living illegally is a slap in the face to those who are doing it the right way.

HELL NO! Why do I pay taxes for benefits I cannot use, so someone who doesn't pay taxes can take advantage of the system?

I believe in America. I believe that ANYONE, from ANY COUNTRY has a right to get citizenship and pay taxes - just like me. What makes me mad is that the mexicans want to get the benefits of citizenship without paying their share.

We'll leave crime, drugs, loud stereos and all that stuff for another topic. Bottom line is: I tow the rope, so should you.

Say for instance you are in a very long line for a concert you have wanted to get tickets for, for a long time. You camped out over night in the cold and rain waiting for a chance to buy those tickets. Just before you get to the box office ten people step in line in front of you. They have the same dream you have to get the tickets but don't want to put in the time and effort to get them. The question is: "What would you do and how would you feel?"

Nope, it's not unfair to them because they want to come legally to this country to live the "real" American dream. Do you think those who enter legally come and do the same jobs those who enter illegally do?

it is a joke that the illegals can come and go as they please. skip court dates for their crimes and not be prosecuted. while you and your children have to pick up the tab for their hospital needs and schooling for their children.

No because pursuing the American dream means abiding by American laws.

We are not a better country because we accept all cultures into our fold. We are a better country because we uphold a rule of law. We don't allow stoning or honor killings. We aren't controled by the govt ( Well at least not right now). The poverty level in the US is far beyond any other country in the world.

If people want to come to America they will not break laws to get here and they will respect America enough to know there is a reason that we abide by our laws.

America cannot be a lifeboat for the world is the hard truth. The world is going to have to fix itself. When you overfill a lifeboat it sinks. Illegal immigrants are doing the same thing to America right now. Not to mention the unfairness and contempt they are displaying to the people who come to America in the legal and proper way.

yea it's unfair to the one's that try and do it legally. I think the only way we should let illegal immigrants into our country is if they want to join our military for 4 years, after they serve then they can be a citizen. And sure they're willing to do jobs most americans won't, but they're also doing jobs that americans will do and getting paid alot less to do it, which makes them way more likely to get hired than an american citizen.....Especially with all of these crooked business owners who are always looking for ways to save a few bucks.

And another thing, all these people are talking about america being founded by illegal immigrants.....What kind of logic is this? The key word is FOUNDED, since it already is inhabited by those who pay taxes, and the illegal's who are coming in now benefit from those who do pay taxes, is that fair? The illegal's that are coming in now are not trying to FIND a country, they are trying to flourish from the fruits of every American citizen's labor.

You precisely explained one of my main problems with illegal immigration. Its not at all fair to the people who are waiting, and showing respect for the laws. I'd much rather see the legal immigrants here first.

I'm torn. On one hand...I know it is a burden to America to try to deal with the financial problems of illegals, and the problems with over population. On the other hand....I feel for the people who just want to come here and make a better life for themselves and their children.

You are completely right. I think it is GREAT that immigrants come to this country to work, even if they are illegal. But it is VERY unfair to those who work hard to try to get into the U.S. legally. Personally, I think the immigration process should go smoother for the people that are trying to come in here legally than it is right now. As for the illegals as long as they work hard for at least 5 years, and love this country they deserve to be here. ;-)

Its not ok
1. They bleed our school system dry.Its the Tax payers who pay for our childrens education,but yet in california,75% of the students are hispanic and almost half do not speak english.Our students are learning at a lower grade level.
2. They bleed our hospitals. They dont have medical insurance but because of organizations like the ACLU,they can walk into a hospital and be treated and NOT have to pay for it.
55% of those in prison are illegal aliens

First of all everyone came to USA illegally. Except for the Native American which came long time ago when no one cared. So, this is no ones land, plus these "illegal aliens" are the ones that clean our bathroom at schools, cook our food and do hard core labor which no American citizen would do for the wage they get paid for. They are like our servants =). But they are real people and should have rights, but thats just me. Other people might think that those people next to Home Depot are mules, or animals but I do not. The thing that the government should do is open the border and let the laws of supply and demand intervene until all Mexicans come up here, or the entire world for all we know, and then American can buy the whole world or just the Americas.

look we are almost all immigrants here in fact the only true americans are the indians who got that name from Christopher Columbus who was a immigrant and after that more immigrants came here and becides if it is the mexican immigrants you refer to they started a lot closer to this country than many of the majorty of Americans anyway in as far as distance oh also who dicided where the border was it was the immagrants who fought those mexicans as to where the border would be. well its been that way for a long time now just some food for thought. chew on that and come to your own answer.

The only people who are not immigrants to this country are the native Americans. Any attitude or policy that regards today's "illegals" into the United States any differently than we non-tribal invaders and their descendants is hypocritical at its very conception.
