Is it real to get us work visa now?

I'm Russian and want to move to US for working and living there. I heard it's almost impossible to get it, especially for Russians. My current occupation is a marketing researcher at one big company dealing with oil & gas equip supplies.
Not sure to get an invitation on this position from a US employer. Moreover, I want to try myself in cosmetology (a hairdresser). I mean to take course on this field (smth like Paul Mitchell school), cause I have no background in it.

That's my story. Please, give me a piece of real advice what to do!!!!!!!!!!!
Planning to leave for America late this year.

Your out of your mind if you want to work and live in NYC, Highly crowded and very violent, for the most part a rude awakening! I suggest that you do research in say all fifty states and their capitals. These are larger than most cities or towns in the state, but has a higher population where you can use your skills. As for getting a work Visa, it usually isn't difficult from what I know about it.

2) You don't want to come to the U.S, I'm a British citizen who migrated to the states, I've been here for 9 months and i still can't get a job, not even the lowliest of jobs.

I don't know about New York, but the offices in Dallas, Texas are very welcoming. The restrictions are minimal. As long as you have no criminal record or warrants in your home country, your Visa application will likely be approved. As a stylist, you'll likely do very well. People will always need a hair cut and some people will pay a generous amount to get one.

If you think getting a Visa for the U.S. is hard, try finding a job once your here. Flick on the T.V. some time and check out our economic crisis. Americans can't even find jobs, I don't know what foreigners are thinking when they want to come here.

The other answers are correct in saying there really is no work here in the US. I do possibly have another money making opportunity depending on what company your with and what kind of D2 prices you can secure per MT. send me an email I'm working on brokering some deals.

Many Russians are hugely qualified for advanced and well payed occupations here in the U.S. The real ***** is that so many equally qualified Russians that have been bred by the Russian underground economy have created so much Mafia-like havoc here in the USA. It is for this reason that we should remain suspicious of further immigration. One need look no further than the Russian economy which has been dominated by illegitimate billionaires and corrupt officials. Aside from this we would surely welcome any contributors to our system, I'd guarantee it. Not assuming that you are one of them, welcome and much luck to your efforts. PS, Capitalism is a ***** until you get used to it, but then,the alternatives are even worse.

Why don't you find a place, which is less crowded? I am sure you could find a job in a smaller place.
