Yes it is still a crime. While they are here illegally, they still have basic human rights. Deportation is a much better solution.

Well, it depends on whether your country or state has a law against murder. If your from some cannibalistic island called Zoowacky or whatnot, then you wouldn't be asking this question right? But if you aren't, then all human beings, illegal or not, are protected by their basic right to life. That's why the LAWFUL procedure would be to deport them. :-)

unfortunately, yes it is a crime for us. We have to abide to the law. But there are thousands of cases out there, where they kill americans but do get away with it. They don't follow our laws- which is why they're here in the first place. They start on the wrong foot...

Of course -- not only a crime but a HATE crime, with an even greater penalty attached than might otherwise be the case. A better question might be: do the Mexicans consider it a crime to molest or otherwise harm Central Americans passing through their country on their way to 'El Norte'???? But whatever, let's NOT hurt anybody who does not deserve it!!
