I'm my opinion, if you were born here then no your not.. yes our ancestors may have been but you technically aren't..Saying we are just cuz our ancestors where is like saying that all black people are slaves just because some of there ancestors may have been. and i find that ridiculous..completely ridiculous..I'm proud to be born here and to be an American.. we should thank our ancestors for being immigrants.. not accuse each other of being immigrants..but with the whole battle going on right now.. i think that if you just simply wanna be a part of this country why is it too much to ask to do it legally? i mean seriously.. especially with all the terrorist stuff today.. wouldn't you want to know who was creeping into your backyard? |

I was born here. Half of my ancestors were native american. Some of the other half immigrated and became citizens. They didn't just work here and send their money back home. |

immigrant is someone who moved away from where they were born. i was born and raised and still live in tx...my mom, grandma, great grandma and possibly even further back were all born in tx. so i am not an immigrant...my ancestors were immigrants....i have never been to france, germany, ireland, scottland but i am also part cherokee indian. so i am not from any other place than tx...there is no possible way i could be an immigrant from a country i have never been to. it does not matter about where my ancestors came from what matters is that i am a texan and not an immigrant. |

NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT! IN THE WORDS OF EL HAJJ MALIK EL SHABAZZ, "PLYMOUTH ROCK DID NOT LAND ON YOU. YOU LANDED ON PLYMOUTH ROCK". ALL THOSE WHO USE THE POOR EXCUSE OF THIS COUNTRY BEING BUILT BY IMMIGRANTS, ARE PROTECTING THERE OWN WELL-BEING. WHETHER PAST HISTORY OR PRESENT, EACH HAS A HOMELAND. THE NATIVE INDIGENOUS ARE NOT CONSIDERED IMMIGRANTS. SLAVERY HAVE DISPLACED MANY AND THE DESCENDANTS OF , ARE NOT CONSIDERED IMMIGRANTS.... |

No, we're not all immigrants. All of us have forefathers who were once immigrants but if you were born in the USA, you are not an immigrant. |

Well, no. I'm not. I was born here. I am, however, descended from immigrants. Even the Native Americans are descended from nomads that came from the Asian continent during the last ice age. They could ever TECHNICALLY be considered descendants of immigrants. |
