am married to a US Citizen, months after being married i applied for GC,, i first went to the immigration attorney on May 08, had my medical done on June, i received a letter for biometrics on Oct and the receipt said that my papers were received in Sept.
then a month later they sent asking for affidavit of support, which i gave to my attorney on Dec and she only mailed them a copy of the support doc not the original ones.... since then i haven't received any notice from them or even from her.... P.s : they recieved my EAD app on Oct, i didnt recieve anything from them concerning that and as far as i know it takes 90 days and now were are apporching May ,,,i feel that my attorney lack some experience and she is doing sth wrong
so pls if any one can tell me are these things normal and she is doing her job right or there is sth wrong,,, and if there is sth wrong pls tell me what am i supposed to do.....

You can make an Infopass Appointment to make an inquiry on the status of your EAD and green card application.The procedure is in the USCIS website.

EAD is a MUST issue after 90 days even if the processing of the application is not complete. You should get an Interim EAD that's good for up to 240 days.
See "Interim EAD" on Page 1.

According to uscis.gov the processing time for your type case is 6 to 7
months, Since you did not submit the final papers until December,
you should expect a decision soon. There should be no reason for
concern yet. |
