The Dream act is a back-door approach to give millions amnesty! Just like regular amnesty, it is a slap in the face and a kick in the gut to all law-abiding Americans!

EDIT: Michigander, you should do some research on this act. You are totally wrong. Not only do the kids get amnesty but they can bring their whole family here and they get amnesty. Then those family members can bring others, and they get amnesty.

There are so many exceptions to this law. The students DON'T always have to graduate for high school to be here. They DON'T always have to go to college.

It is a spit on the face of all Americans and all who came here and became citizens "LEGALLY".

It is also a prime example of the effort by the illegals and the their supporters to errode and corrupt the justice-based system of this country. They have to!! because most of these illegals are so bloody comfortable when they get away with anything, just like home!! Except that at home, these leeches couldn't get through much without paying up their throats to every official involved, let alone having their children going to college without prestiges they could never have.

boy are you generous, I bet you wouldn't be so generous if you yourself had to jump through all the immigration hooplas,(which include stringent academic and financial requirements) pay more than double tuition than regular citizens for the same kind of education, and not allowed to work legally (except for $5.75 on campus jobs)during your study and not until you pay some thousands of dollars to immigration and lawyers to get your work visa and greencard.

Not just those who are sending their kids to college, but to every Citizen and legal immigrant here who has to pick up the tab for those who do NOT deserve the fruits of OUR labor.
How is it we can reward Criminals and yet make the taxpayers bend over and grab their ankles? This is plain wrong! Another example of how our Politicians have forgotten WHOM they are supposed to serve here...

We gave amnesty to mexicans in the 1980's.
Those three million mexicans definatley had kids.
We have many LEGAL immigrants who wont get hired. Why pay a legal mexican more then a illegal one? whats it matter if they both dont speak english right?

No, I dont think it is. Based on the fact that there are serveral requirements to be eligible:

1.Having graduated from an American High School, or obtained a GED.

2."Good moral character," essentially defined as the absence of a significant criminal record (or any drug charges )

3.Proof of having arrived in the United States at age 15 or younger;

4.Proof of residence in the United States for a least five (5) consecutive years since their date of arrival.

and evenafter you've met those, you have to accomplish one of three requirements in order to be able to saty here legally

During the six years of conditional status, the eligible immigrant would be required to either (1) graduate from a two-year community college, (2) complete at least two years towards a 4-year degree, or (3) serve two years in the U.S. military.

I dont know why people think illegals dont pay taxes, Illegas get the ITIN and with that number they pay their taxes, they also buy things on the store and also pay taxes,

on able for a student to get residency from the dream act, they have to be here before they were 16, must have an high school diploma and have to graduate from a collage with no help from the Gov. also they have to show good manners and on during 4 year they have show a free-criminal record.

Nope. It's a guarantee that US gets the best and brightest people...and NO, they won't receive free education. They can apply now for student loans.
They need to meet certain requirements like:
Have been brought to the US before the age of 16
Completed satisfactorily High School
Study in College and keep certain GPA

Please educate yourselves better and don't judge proposals so lightly....that is why we need better brains...

no. Its a chance for someone to have the same chance as your child to go to college and make a better life for themselves.

Edit: Refuse... You don't know me or my family so you can't really say what i have or haven't been through. I know that in Mexico many children don't even have the chance to go to elementary school because they can't afford to pay and many have to work at such an early age to help their families! Thats why the men of the families come to work over here so their little children won't have to and can go to school! They are happy with just the chance to go to school or work! They don't care how much it cost them or what they get paid. If you had the chance to go to college what is it hurting you to let someone else? From what I can see, you won't be thrown out of school so that an illegal can have your spot!
