I t is not race at all. That is just the ILLEGAL Hispanics picking a fight.
I could not care less what race you are, if you are in thsi country ILLEGALLY you deserve to be hunted down and at least deported. |

For the majority of Americans, it is not racism. I know many blacks and legal hispanics that hate the idea of someone coming over illegally.
It is a matter of economics, law, overpopulation, environmental impact, and preserving American culture. |

It is a legal and economic issue. People throw around the word "racist" too much. |

Neither, it is a legal question. I didn't care if it is 12 million Europeans coming in without permission, they VIOLATED our sovereignty. |

Neither. Immigration laws were enacted to allow some mamnageability of those entering the US so that we had a chance to curb incoming contagious diseases and criminals, along with not having too big an influx to handle.
Those are still valid reasons. We just haven't enforced the laws evenly for years. Immigration from the south has been convenient, from Europe and points east has not. |

Its always been an economic issue. Its the illegals aliens that'll scream its racism. As of now its a dangerous issue as well. Watch the You-Tube Home Depot attacks that illegal aliens against American citizens. We need to get this under control. WHY isn't our government protecting us? Pathetic! |

To me, it's a legal issue. |

It's a matter of law and econmics! The American people neither need nor want these illegals in our nation to bankrupt the middle class and totally destroy those with no further education. |

it's economics. the racism comes from the illegals. the numbers are rising. I'm glad i have gun and license. any one comes to me telling me i have to give them anything will get it, between the eyes. |

I believe the original cause was corporate economic greed. And lack of government enforcement of existing immigration laws.
And now the people see how the strain ultimately end up costing them, not the corporations. The anger has manifested as racism in certain cases...Some see the mostly Hispanic immigrants as not working hard enough to adopt the American language and culture. |

It isn't an economic issue.
IT IS NOT A RACE ISSUE.
It is a legal issue.
The definition of criminal is "One who has committed a crime"
I'm sick of all the Pro-ILLEGAL people out there saying "they aren't criminals." YES THEY ARE. that definition fits them to a T. |

It's a many faceted subject. Economics plays a large part as does security. Then you have environmental issues and the list goes on. Racism plays very little into it except for a select few. Some racist groups I'm sure have their own agenda's but the average citizen has mainly the economic and other factors at the heart of their debate.
EDIT: Unfortunately the article you provided sounds very racist as it doesn't mention any other illegals except Hispanics. Those are the type of articles I try to avoid. Because illegal is illegal regardless. |

Well, I'm Hispamic, Latino and I hate illegal aliens coming into our country. Do you call me racist, well if you do I don't care. By the way I'm also a Minutemen. |

Well to start with 'illegal alien' is not a race. 'Mexican' is not a race. 'Criminals' is not a race. Why would anyone think racism has anything to do with illegal aliens systematically invading our country with the announced intent of taking it away from us and owning it? |

Neither - it is an unlawful invasion. |

It's a legal and Economic issue.
The current system is set up to allow those entering legally time to assimilate into this culture.
With the current problems regarding Illegal Aliens, their just creating one big mess.
People that shout "Racism" are just trying to shut people up by making them feel like they are doing something wrong.
Thankfully people are not as stupid as the open border advocates. |

I feel the article in question is racism! Let me explain, it starts by saying Latinos? "Latinos" is like "black ,brown and white". The Numbers have too be SO ridiculous its funny. I could quote the same numbers through out the world for any white brown or black. If you don't think that whites have "numbers" that disgrace them, than you believe there flawless and bite into "there the supreme race" deal. Please realize the whole race ordeal is to hide Bush"s incompetence to politics. Scape goats, when arguing race people forget theres a war going on that is actually killing people . |

obviously it's a legal question. but so is the validity of the ACLU. (i mean i have liberties that need protection too and i am an american) Also i dont understand how the NAACP can still exist? Perhaps there was a time that interervention was needed to balance things to help disparity but it is now being taken advantage of.
Im a white guy. Now that im a minority how about the NAAWP for the advancement of white persons? How would that s*** go over with the ACLU? |

Certainly not racism. How could it be when those invading are of no specific race?
Economics? Only if you include tax-funded freebies.
It appears more to be an effort to weaken the resolve of ALL nations involved.

It might be more accurate to cal it cultural elitism. We don't want the Mexican crime culture. We want all immigrants to bring their food and leave everything else behind. By everything else I mean customs, religion, language- anything that doesn't conform to the society that's in place now.
But bring the food. Yum. |

I think it is both. The issue of illegal immigrants has been an issue for several decades, regardless of a Democrat or Republican Congress in control. When illegals immigrants enter the US, they are hired by employers who know better but pay them significantly lower than the federal wage. This mainly helps the employer keep costs low and provides some Americans with cheaper goods and services. That is the economic piece. The racism piece is seen in the typical American attitudes about illegal immigrants getting American services and liberties. If most of the illegal immigrants were of the European persuasion, the issue would not be as big as it is now. In fact, I believe that Congress would have already created a path of legal citizenship for those illegal European immigrants that are already in the US. |
