Why not try worrying about the criminals being dumped over the border from the overcrowded Mexican jails? Or, how about worrying about the state of Medicare when we're shelling out for all of these illegals to get welfare.

There is always a possibility for anything. In my opinion they are doing a wonderful job. There is nothing wrong with wanting safe borders. What you should really worry about is Islamic Extremists, or a dirty bomb slipping across the border. Now that has me worried.

saying that the minutemen will become a hate group is like saying the Rotary Club is into world domination because it sponsors elections.

This is abaolutely absurd! Most Americans are truly law-abiding citizens unlike the illegal aliens! By crossing our border the illegal aliens have proven they have no respect for our laws. The minutemen on the border have proven themselves to be for a lawful society not a lawless society! I have to wonder why the federal government is not enforcing our laws...nothing dooms a country more.
You should worry about our country if our government continues to endorse a group of illegal alien criminals instead of law abiding Americans trying to protect our country!

I am a bit frightened of this as well, more so because of mob mentalities. After all, when you look at what soldiers did at Abu Gharib, as "official" representatives of the United States, I think the likelihood of the minutemen becoming vigilantes is high.

It is very possible. The minute men sit on a very slippery slope between "enforcing immigration law" and hatred. I wouldn't be suprised if you hear about minute men groups that already commit hate crimes.

However, keep in mind that for every group of right wing nut-jobs, there's also a conservative group with moral values.

Sometimes the news we see only focuses on the groups that have lost control.

Of course there could always be the possibility that they could turn into groups like La Raza Unida or The Brown Berets,or the KKK.But don't worry,the Minute Men are made up of people that don't want to destroy this nation.They have very strict requirements and a back ground check is done to weed our radicals.I would like to see your link about Chris Simcox abusing his family.That's new propaganda to me.The Minute Men have not killed any one.They have orders to never try to stop an illegal alien,they are only to call the Border Patrol and tell them where to come to arrest the illegal.They are ordered to ignore taunts and attempts to get them to react to illegal supporters.They have very strict rules that they follow.So don't worry about any of the lies and BS you have heard its not going to happen.

I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about the Minute Men being crazy-if you want something to worry about -worry about those unsecured borders in America these men are protecting.
Worry that if the Minute Men weren't there every freak terrorist, murderer, drug lord, arsonist, child molester., and thief from anywhere in the world can sneak into our country undetected and threaten your family and friends and better yet know that some of this filth already has entered this country and there are people who don't care that people of unknown origin are sneaking into our country.

Whats up with that? You and he are no better than any other killer or thug that is in prison. How much have you personally benefited off of the criminal acts performed by your boyfriend. I wish that someone in the government reads this public forum and has an investigation into your confession that you boyfriend is in a gang full of killers, drug dealers and losers in society. It probably wont matter to much though because if you live by the gun you die by the gun. So more than likely he will be killed by another criminal that he is trying to rob or be killed by the cops or at the very least be sent to prison and then be deported. You should also be put in prison and deported for being an accomplice to a criminal.

Do you know a small screen actress Adriene Shelley was killed recently by an illegal alien, She told him to stop being so loud when he was doing construction work and he assaulted her and then hung her in her bathroom to make it look like she committed suicide. Because he didn't want to be caught and deported - She had a husband and a two year old child - THAT worries me.
