this is a very interesting question. i am not really sure. if u did a survey on this question, i don't think u would get the truth. logically i think there r ways u can get people to tell the truth, but i don't think all the ways are legal. maybe just a few.

Yes, just look at my tax increases, look at the rise in identity theft, look at the spiraling downturn of education in our schools, look at the hospitals going bankrupt....do I REALLY need to add more?

The truth varies from person to person. Truth and fact do not necessarily go hand in hand. I would prefer that illegal supporters rely on facts than truth.

Follow links and do searches. You can find the answer to anything online. Who is "telling the truth" is often a matter of perspective, though. We all draw upon our own experiences in life, and, that may be the truth to us, but, not to anyone else....

I was very disturbed one day when I heard two news moderators say that the truth is what you believe it to be. That really confirmed my belief that much of the news media reports information that is not necessarily based upon fact, but upon how much it will create controversy and raise the ratings. Its no wonder people are angry and confused.

unfortunately, you really have to be an intuitive and clever person to catch every lie and thats such a boring task. i find a lot of liers out by their inability to look me in the eye while lying or to keep their eyes steady while lying

The truth sometimes relies on how and where you were reared much like religion. If it feels right to me and there are enough stats provided, I'm willing to do some research on it. I think this may be a bit philosophical for this forum, but it is thought provoking.

You can trust me , I never Lie. It's a gut feeling on who's telling the truth. Your smarter than you think. Our subconscious picks up clues that our conscious have a hard time perceiving. Of course you have to be wary of personal bias. Amanda is right also. Two people can see two different things, and they are both correct. I am a bit of a statitician, and what I learn is that when people say you an only trust hard numbers, there wrong. All numbers can be easily fudged. I have yet to see any statistics involving illegal immigration that remotely come close to being done in a scientific manner. What I do is take what I know are facts and try to make the next step from there. As for the internet being a great source for information, it's a better source for misinformation.

PS, I have a block of alabaster that I have been meaning to do something with. Unfortunately I'm lazy and all i have done so far is start making a chess set. Did three pieces so far. Haven't touched it for some time now , though.
