Is your town going down the tubes like Los Angeles because illegals?

WELCOME TO LOS ANGELES. These terrible car crashes happen all the time out here and it now looks as though illegal immigration has hit your state too. In California we have now literally been overrun by illegal aliens from Mexico. You in Massachusetts are now getting the traffic accidents -- hit and runs, no seat belts, high rates of drunk driving -- and soon, if you do not do something, you will get all the rest that comes with it -- the crime, the overcrowding, high rates of traffic accidents (illegals from Mexico are often illiterate even in their own language and don't read street signs, do not obey traffic laws, and have a high rate of drunk driving).

Don''t laugh, because if we do not stop this invasion of illegal aliens into this country soon Springfield will look like Los Angeles with your schools bursting at the seams, overcrowding, dangerous streets, and your hospitals and emergency rooms shut down. In L.A. County we have had more than 80 hospitals and emergency rooms close their doors for good because illegal aliens use them as their primary physicians even for a cold or case of the flu and the hospitals go bankrupt..

I am telling you to start paying attention and DEMAND that our immigration laws are enforced and that President Bush guard our borders. So far he has refused to do either. It is almost too late for my state but maybe not for yours, I have seen our once top of the line Los Angeles Unified School District go from being in the top five (before massive invasion by illegal aliens from Mexico) to now being second from the bottom. More than half of the them do not graduate from high school -- we have the worse graduation rate in the U.S., most do not speak English, and teachers bail out of teaching at the LAUSD by their third year as the gangs in the schools and lack of discipline are so bad they leave.

The U.S. takes in about 2 MILLION LEGAL immigrants per year. We are the most generous country in the world as far as welcoming new immigrants to our country. But do not confuse "legal" with "illegal" as we are now facing an INVASION of illlegals from by Mexico into our country because Mexico's politicans and "elite" are importing their problems -- the poor , the unskilled, the illiterate -- into the U.S. for us to take care of and they are exporting their Mexican nationals here into the U.S. BY THE MILLIONS. It is NOT 12 million illegal aliens in this country as the media and the Bush Administration keeps saying -- it is much more like 30 million and growing by the day.,

Have you ever been to Houston? Or Texas for that matter? My mom works in the maternity ward at a medical center on the south side of town and she is afraid of losing her job because she doesn't know much Spanish <-- which is rediculous! Many of the other nurses have already been "let go" because Mexican women hop off the bus RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER HOSPITAL to have their children and expect people to cater to them (speak spanish, give them diapers, formula, car seats, etc). The nursing staff is now REQUIRED to take Spanish classes!

My mother has been a nurse for over 25 years at the same hospital and has seen the hospital management change hands 4 times because the hospital goes bankrupt from giving everyone free medical treatment, week long stays, car seats, diapers, diaper bags, etc. AND THEN THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO COMPLAIN THAT WE DON'T SPEAK THEIR LANGUAGE!

**don't get me wrong, many many people are grateful for the services that the US provides- most of the time unconditionally, but they just don't understand how it is that this great country is able to provide these things. Simply put, we pay taxes!

I don't want o press one for English either and that doesn't make me lazy, that makes me an American who thinks we shouldn't cater to non-English speaking people. If you're in America, SPEAK ENGLISH. The town I just moved from has had an enormous rise in Hispanics over the past few years, which is not a problem if you are a citizen, Then I started receiving papers from school that had Spanish printed on the back for all the parents that couldn't speak English. WTF! How can you live in a city, send your kids to school, and have to have the school cater to you because you can't speak English? How do you help your kids with homework? There was an apartment house down the street from my house, supposed to fit 4 family's but it was more like 20. Every three months I would see the guy driving a new truck. How does that happen? There was also another apartment building full of Hispanics with one satellite dish and wires strung to every apartment in the building. This is getting ridiculous! Don't get me wrong,this has nothing to do with race, I have Hispanics in my family, it's all about how we continue to cater to illegals who refuse to learn English and become citizens. If you can't speak English, then don't expect me to cater to you by putting papers from school in Spanish for you.

BTW.....we will both probably be flagged!

The illegals create a welcome balance in my community between the Indians,Koreans and Chinese who are here quite legally doing the "jobs Americans don't want to do" like software engineer, architect, small business owner, hair stylist,................................... feel free to add to this list

I hear what you're saying. I lived in Los Angeles for 5 years before I moved to Orange County and now travel there about 10-15 times a year for either business or Lakers games. There are nearly 10 million people living in Los Angeles and approximately half of the population is of Hispanic or Latino origin. And yes, many of them are believed to be in the country illegally. The last time I was in Los Angeles about 2 months ago my jaw just about dropped. I literally felt like I was in Mexico. The place has turned into an absolute dump. As you've said, the school system has gone down the drain and many hospitals have closed down. It's really a shame what these people have done to Los Angeles. They are given far more opportunities in America then they were ever given from their homeland's and they are turning Los Angeles into the slums they come from. These people can cry "Racist" all they want. They live in a constant state of denial.

When my daughter had a baby, they had to drive about 50 miles to San Diego, instead of 5 miles to Escondido, to the hospital because the closer one was full - lots of illegals!

I'm sick of the 20+ million criminals in our country! They don't belong here and have no right to be here!!!!

In UK London is almost abandoned by white people.They have all moved to the counties. In some Northern towns Asians outnumber whites. There has to be and end somewhere ... PS Can all us English come and live in the USA in place of the mex and hispanics.

I tried to warn people 2 years ago about this, and I was called a racist. Now the rest of the country is beginning to see the havoc these people are causing. I don't live in LA, but I have been there. The city I live in is 98% Hispanic. Some great people, but mostly rude and demanding. They look at me like I don't belong. I am the third generation to live in my house.
We must keep after the government to stop this before it gets any worse. It's time to nail Homeland Security and tell them to start doing their job. Good post.

Here is a funny story. My husband works in a warehouse, and was approached by his supervisor telling him that they now have free spanish classes available and is encouraging everyone to go. This is to accommodate all the spanish speaking employees, lol. My husband actually said back to him, "why don't you offer free ENGLISH classes, I mean if I wanted to learn spanish I would have not learned German and Latin." His supervisor just turned around and walked away. He will not be enrolling anytime soon, lol.

Well, the republicans were in charge the last 6 years of every branch of government from the senate, to the house, and the president and they did NOTHING absolutely NOTHING to stop or slow down illegals coming into this country. Now that they are here, it's stupid to think the day will come when someone will just round them up and take them back. I know how you feel, but unfortunately I do believe that you may hit a sore spot here and will get many negative answers. It makes me sick to see all the graffiti all over our once clean buildings and walls. I know who is doing it, doesn't anyone else? It makes me sick when I pick up a pamphlet and English is not the first language in print. People from other countries are not raised with the same beliefs and values as Americans. I hate to say it, but I can't walk into Walmart anymore without some little short runt coming on to me right in front of his woman. Here in the U.S. that is not tolerated. Rednecks, as bad as they may be, know not to treat women as objects that are there for you to use. I feel your pain and agree with you, I just don't know what to do about it.

My town has to be at least 70% illegal immigrants. But our local economy isn't 'going down the tubes'. The only illegal immigrants people care about are the ones that don't speak english. Im so sick of hearing about it. America has always had illegals, and its only recently that our economy went to sh it, so how are people that work and buy everything here hurting the economy?

why do you keep pointing Mexicans as there are many other immigrants from other countries. Many Mexicans come here for a better living and not to commmit crimes! i haven't seen that mexicans are the terrorist and students shooting schools.

I think there is just a high population of Hispanics in California, especially Los Angeles. And for you to assume they are all illegal or to assume the city or that state is being "overrun" by illegals, you are plain delusional.

So what? I live in Los Angeles and this city seems okay with me. This country was made for people all over the world to come and live a better life. Calling people illegal isn't right anyway. No one deserves to be called that. Besides who are we to decide if someone is illegal or not. They are human beings that work extremely hard for their families back in their home countries. This country was made by immigrants if you didn't know that. I don't care about having to "press one for english". I'm hispanic and truly proud of my family and their great efforts on this country, even if they can't speak english.
