It appears so. Yesterday some councils said they could not afford the problem of immigrant children without a rise in the Council tax. They asked for Government help.
This isn't the children's fault, but neither is it the fault of the tax payer.
Serious solution needed, but probably 'enter the pc brigade'.

assuming you mean here in UK, and the answer is yes, not enough money to go around to pay for all the necessary services to do with the influx of immigrants within the last few years. Just about every agency that's involved, councils, schools, social services have said so publicly.

Yes it is! The government have apologised for underestimating and getting the figures wrong. but what are they going to do about it? I don't think apologies are enough . It affects us right across the board from education to job to housing etc. All very well for them in their ivory towers to apologise, but we need action not words!

"Opportunities" are becoming rarer and harder to find and the young Brits who are just leaving school and setting off into the world of work are losing out. It has nothing to do with "laziness". Only a stupid bigot could assume it did.

Let me explain: If immigrants are coming here with skills and experience and willing to work for peanuts then employers will not BOTHER training up young workers or offering good wages. Young Brits will end up stuck in dead end unskilled jobs on crappy wages until the employers are forced, through the lack of easily available immigrant labour, to invest in training and valuing their own indigenous workforce. The Government will always prefer to import ready-trained labour from abroad to fill "skills gaps" because its CHEAPER than setting up and funding training schemes to train your own British young people. Simple economics.

If you can't see that you are a moron. To blame the fact that some young Brits are struggling to do well on them being "lazy" is just pure stupidity, ignorance and bigotry. "Laziness" has nothing to do with it.

yes it is even in rural areas they are taking the houses in the public sector and the privet sector i know of a town on the border of England and Scotland where they now teach polish in the school there because of the influx's of poles the main employer there told the British work force to learn polish as most of them now are

Well, there are problems, that's for sure. Schools with large numbers of children whose English is not terribly good, a health service that contracts as the population expands, and the continual shortage of housing. It is the lack of planning that is disturbing. The housing situation is particularly acute, with the pressure on housing forcing up prices to very high levels and skewing the whole economy. Another worry is a large percentage of our food has to be imported, the more so as the population grows. World food stocks are dwindling and prices of grain etc. are rising. There is a real danger overpopulated countries like ours could be in real trouble from this situation. Do the government ever discuss it ? No, of course not, but they should. All they care about is cheap labour.

British children are suffering through mass immigration and the Loony's in the Labour Party are turning a blind eye to all this . Them people in the Labour Party that have allowed this to happen should bow their heads in shame at what they have done to this country . The real problem is why so many companies try and squeeze into the overcrowded south east. There are vast streets standing empty in parts of the North East because all the big bosses need to be close to each other to give each other brown envelopes. Sorry my tone was a bit too childish and cynical there.

As an Island Great Britain is not overcrowded, there is lots of space even if immigration increased to match the number of brits abroad.

Something needs to be looked at. Builders in parts of the country recon they need semi-skilled immigrants to make up the numbers. Anti immigration people, while not exactly the most truthfull of people, have figures showing there are vast numbers of Brits not working.

I don't agree with the look after your own principle, you need to present opportunities and if people are too lazy to take them thats their lookout. But we also need to continue to look at why a small, but significant, proportion of Brits feel unable to find work, as it doesn't help anyone to have people lounging about on benefits if it can be helped.

Woah Ladymoon. I gave a considered, inteligent and careful response, without any of the heat and hate speach that often occurs here. Perhaps if educated people like me, who look at the issue more deeply than you do raise your blood pressure, the health issues are your punishment for being the way you are.

It is. We are getting loads of extra taxes, but typical inefficient labour are messing up the redistribution to local councils.

Absobloominglutely, Most of our public services are already in crisis and the numbers entering are not decreasing. I do wish people would jump off the "race" wagon, this issue is about numbers not about peoples race.Most who are coming in are fellow Europeans (another reson for leaving it!) so where is the race element in that? Concerned citizens should be able to voice their concerns without being accused of racism. This is why the PC brigade have pushed their doctrine down our throats, in order to silence the majority, and by george has it worked! Immigration on this scale and in such a short space of time is creating huge problems in this country, problems that the government are refusing to address. Why is this? My view is that cheap labour is a major factor, we are after all a capitalist nation, add to this that most of those coming here will vote for their benefactor, the Labour Party. Where is the incentive for Mr Brown to call a halt? Vote U.K.I.P at least they are promising to address the issues that concern the majority, unlike this load of shysters who used to get my vote.

This is nothing new. Lots of things (like climate, emigration, etc) affect how we live. Britain like every other country has to constantly change and adapt to survive.
