I am a USA citizen and I recently married my Mexican girlfriend who was/is a illegal alien, we have two children from our relationship, so now how do I get her a green card, can someone tell me what forms I need to fill out for her.
I have heard this is a three step process so if possible can someone explain what happens after I fill in the first application etc.
Additional Details
The children are seven and three years of age respectively and the oldest is going to school, so it would be very difficult for her to go back without the children.

All these answers that you were given are wrong. She can apply of adjust of status, I believe it is a I-485 and since she's married to a US citizen, she may receive an answer within a month. After a few months, she may have to go to an interview with the local office. Consult your immigration lawyer or go to the USCIS website and call the 1800 hotline to consult the representative. |

She has to return to Mexico and you have to own up and take care of your kids until you go through the proper channels |

If she entered illegally you petition her to come to US. She leaves country, Petition gets denied, you apply for a waiver, if approved you apply for visa, she gets visa comes to America, you apply for adjustment of status. With luck she will only be out of the states for a couple of years. |

you can apply and try to go through the process which would cost both time and $ or you could apply for a "hardship waiver" which is what my lawyer had suggested and you go to mexico with her the process should take approx four months for her to return with you with her papers |
