Why was it shut down? I agree that immigrants are hurting the United States in the economy, now we have to learn spanish. I would be less mad if they all had to learn English, and forget there marches...they are hear get over it, why rally about it. I agree on sealing the borders.

I agree with "seal the borders" policy... but that isn't going to fix the healthcare situation.

I don't want to live in a country where people are denied emergency care because they are uninsured... Do you want to see children and elderly dying on doorstep of the emergency room ?....that's a horrible scenario, one that we are facing unfortunately...

We need universal healthcare, similar to Canada....and you can't tell me we can't do it because we have too many illegals... France has the worlds worst illegal immigration problem, but also the worlds' best healthcare system. If those fools can do it, we can do it better.

Universal healthcare works, because it cuts out the middleman...Insurance companies...who are taking all of the revenue out of the healthcare industry in the form of profits, that should otherwise flow directly to the hospitals and doctors and nurses. They profit from DENYING care, not providing it.

Privatized healthcare doesn't, hasn't, and will never work... because it links the ability to recieve care with your ability to be employed.

Ask youself....if your house was on fire....should the fireman ask for a good faith deposit of $10k or an insurance card before rushing in to save your children from the flames ?

We live in a country where getting really sick can mean you lose your house, your savings, your retirement.....EVERYTHING you worked for is gone just like that.

I am proud to say that I am a mexican immigrant and being an immigrant does not mean that we do not comtribute to the economy. From my personla experience I know that immigrants file their taxes year after year and have never seen a penny from the state. So I do not understant where ppl get such statistics. I know that due to their situation being illegal in this country when it comes to statistics they are invisible when it comes to contribution to the economy but when the gov. or ignorant ppl talk their heads off about money immigrants are receiving they do count them, what the freak is going on? Sealing the borders will not stop anyone from coming into the US since border patrols are help immigrants come into this country.

It's not just Mexican immigrants and I'm sure that illegal immigrants aren't the only reason why those hospitals shut down (the words bad healthcare system come to mind). Wow, how ignorant.
Yes, we should do something about the illegal immigrants that are coming in but what about those who are already here? Not all illegal immigrants are bad considering most do, do the right thing and try to become legal citizens who later become productive members of our society. Police officers...have you seen the cops in LA, at least 90% are Latino and i'm sure that some of them were illegal at one point in time. Oh and what about our military...have you been down to Camp Pendleton in San Diego, don't most of them look Latino to you???

Illegal immigration is a problem that this country definitely needs to solve but I don't think that putting a fence on the border is really going to do anything but slow down the process. To me it's like trying to stop water from running in a stream by covering it with your thumb. The water might not go where your thumb is but it will go everywhere around it. That's exactly what will happen with this fence idea. The only thing I can see that would be a better alternitive would be like a Marshall plan thing w/ Mexico and other central American countries in which we agree to help their economy in return we would get troops for the wars in Iraq and Afganistan.

How do you know they are from Mexico, did you see their birth certificates or are you as ignorant as most that believe that because people speak Spanish they are from Mexico?

There are a number of countries that speak Spanish and unless you have seen their birth certificate, or are an expert in accents and vocabulary, you won't know what country they are from.
