Migrating to Australia - Gaining a work permit and visa?

You need to have good qualifications (diploma/degree preferably) in any skills Australia is in shortage of. You must also have experience in your field, and no criminal record (if you have a small scratch, it won't eliminate your chances of getting in, but it's best to have no crimmy record)

I suggest you visit the place(es) you hope to live in Australia one day to see if you actually like them, rather than think they're good.

I think you would be wise to check out a holiday first, and go to different areas, and even then holidaying and living there can be a different ball game, have you any relatives you could go to? good luck anyway.

to immigrate to australia you must be a skilled and experienced worker in an occupation on the skilled occupation list (SOL) and pass the points test

Work is getting scarce there now.My son's on his way back after a year there.He had plenty of work up until a month ago but the slow down is taking hold now.There are companies who look after everything for you for a fee and set you up with a bank account and register you at an agency.You'll find them in the papers.Perth has the better opportunities for work.Melbourne and Sydney are jobless!

There is no chance at the moment of you getting a work visa because you're not old enough to have qualifications and experience in one of our listed occupations.

If you're serious about moving here in the future, get a degree or trade qualifications and some related experience in one of our critically required occupations. If you get your degree in Australia, a visa will be faster and easier but it may cost less to do it in your own country.

That might be an idea before you get too far into your planning - you may find that Australia isn't the place for you.
