I meet my boyfreind last summer, and he told me he was from Arizona, born and raised. We had what seems like a good relationship, and we recently got engadged. I wanted to get our mariage licence, and thats when he informed me we had to go by a different sur name then his real name , and I lost it.
I'm like WTF , I would of never got involved with him if I knew he was illegal, the whole idea that I would give my heart to some one that could possible get deported from the country, I mean really, what if we had kids, what about my job my job, yeah, I could go to Mexico and live with him, but WTF ... I have family here, my parents are getting older, and may be depending on me in the near future.
I really hope none of you think I'm shallow but, I really want him out of the country, he hurt me, and I don't see how I could trust him. I really want to not just dumb him, but turn him to immigration, does anyone know how I can do this ?

Honey this guy was using you BIG TIME to try and get a foothold in the US. Don't you dare marry someone who wasn't honest with you about who they are from the get go. (I have experience with a liar who hid things so I would marry him, I KNOW.......mine just wasn't an illegal alien.) DO NOT MARRY THIS GUY--DUMP HIM NOW.
Then call ICE and report him as an illegal. Do NOT tell them how he broke your heart. Just tell them "so and so is an illegal alien and he is located at....he works at...."

You can be charged with aiding and abeting a FEDERAL FELON. And can acctually serve time if convicted. They are starting to do that now. ICE is trying to get a law passed that anyone or any business that supports an ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT can be charge up to TREASON, and also fined VERY heavily.

You can't always help ho you give your heart to. I dated 2 illegals .
1) Enrique - lasted 2yrs - he got deported on a DUI charge after I have a son with him.I knew his address in Mexico and filed for child support.He has not done anything for his son - not even sent him a birthday card.
2) Manuel - lasted 5 months - I got pregnant by him - he was cheating on me - I cheated on him- he hit me - I put him in jail- he is being deported - I tried to work things out for the sake of this child - he is seeing someone else while he is in jail now. And cheated me out of $$$.
I am now a single parent with 2 kids due to these clowns.
Get as much info as you can and send a letter to the ICE.
About what john a said many of them have wives and children in Mexico and other places and cheat on their wives here in the U.S. - they go to clubs and bars.Aids is being spread in Mexico because of this. |

Don’t lets these people cloud your mind with the “if you love him then his legal status shouldn’t matter”. I think if you have been with someone for a year and the idea of marriage was even brought up and he never told you his legal status until now then he is a liar and honestly not to be trusted. It would be no different if he was in a cult, abused drugs or alcohol, etc and never told you till you moved in together.
You surly didn’t ask enough questions when you were dating; as this is something you should have known before all of this.
I can understand your frustration and hope everything turns out well. You NEED to leave him and clear your head and maybe you do love him? If you think you can forgive him you need to investigate his motives and make sure he isn’t using you. You can communicate him to INS if it suits you.

If he crossed the border illegally there is no possibility at this time for him to become legal even if you married him. If he came into the country with a visa and remained in the country illegally then he can get his legal status if you get married. Sounds stupid but the government sees a difference. I don't like the fact that he lied to you all along and personally I wouldn't marry him. |

You know what you should have did some research on him first asked him several questions if you didnt know what you was getting into you shouldnt have gotten into it. If you loved him so much like Im sure youve said then you would bare with him on that and help him become legal so you could spend how much ever time you wanted with him!! And actually he couldnt marry unless he had his rea full name they have to have their birth certificates from where they're from and they have to have legal docuents from their contry stating they arent married there...
