he has no known living family. we need to get birth certificate and id for drivers license.... help please... he is originally from texas

he also does not know his mothers maiden name and no known living relatives. we can not get married without some type of id. social security card requires id to get it and birth certiciate wants mothers maiden name. we are lost on this

um he can get his birth certificate with a photo i.d and social security. if he needs a photo id you can get one at the dmv its not a license its just a photo id stating name birthdate stuff like that. but to get the birth certificate he needs to go to his birthplace in texas because he wont obtain it anywhere else |

Assuming he knows his name, his mothers name and his date of birth he should be able to obtain a birth certificate from the state he was born in. |

Usually a state ID/drivers license requires:
A. A birth certificate
B. A social security card
The birth certificate is usually handled by the county board of health in whatever county the birth occurred. Look it up on the net, get a number, call them and see what needs to be done.
The social security card comes from the federal government. The Social Security Administration also has a website, it's probably going to take a visit to a local federal building to get the actual card. |

You could get the birth certificate by contacting the state where he was born. Was he adopted? Then you could ask whatever agency placed him.
Or contact the last school he attended. They might have a copy of his birth certificate. Did his parents go to a church? Maybe the pastor would be able to give him info about his mothers maiden name or it would be in baptismal records.
If you still can't find the mothers maiden name, then I can't think of anything besides hiring a lawyer/private investigator. |
