he's not registered for selective service,15years of stay in USA,.he's 27 when he applied for citizenship,,..now he's turning 31 years old so' what he will gonna do? go to immigration and tell them that he's 31

it don't look good for him. he was in the U.S. during the age of 18 thru 25 to register
failure to register for Selective Service during the period for which an applicant is required to prove his compliance with § 316(a)(3) supports a finding that the applicant is not eligible for naturalization, because he has failed to establish his willingness to bear arms when required and his disposition to the good order and happiness of the United States. |

when he goes to the intervie just be sure to tell them he didnt know or whatever the case may have been. from what i know u never want to lie to the immigration officers. also its never to late to sign up! |

I would make an appointment with immigration. Perhaps they will overlook his violation of the rules, perhaps not. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for not obeying the laws of our country.
He needed to prove that he wanted to bear arms for the country he wanted citizenship in. Hard to believe that being here for 15 years that he did not know his obligations to sign up for Selective Services. |

get a status letter from SSS stating why you did not register.
It's fine, could be a case of I didn't know etc but explain the situation to the IO and call SSS and see if you can register
Don't listen to the previous posts they don't understand the process
btw SSS is selective service system. for those who gave thumbs down. and IO is immigration officer, person who adjudicates your applications at the USCIS |
