My husband got his I-130 approved on 10/2006.?

we are suppose to wait for the national visa center (nvc) sends me some other forms to fill out and head to ciudad juarez for the appointment. but heres the thing, since the I-130 approval i have not received a thing yet. its been a little over 2 yrs since the last info. I called cis and they said they would refoward my approval to the nvc. has this ever happened to anyone? if so, how did it go? were you approved? if the nvc finally receives it how long til i here something?

NOTE: im a us citizen. born and raised.

You should have heard a long time ago. Since you haven't heard from them in 2 years, you need to contact them directly and find out what happened, as soon as possible. This is from travel.state.gov:

If you fill out a 497B and send it in be for 08 09 be 04;30 with a C52 accompanied by 73A and 35b or C with all information prier to 31 05 to 30 02 09 then you should here something if you don't have ear plugs in.
