I am a US citizen and not currently working.We are in the process of applying for my husband's permanent residency. He is currently employed and working in US on H1B. Does he need an affidavit of support from me? What if I can't provide it?

Here are two ways for him
First is Immigration through Employment
Second is Immigration through a Family Member.
for First the employer have to file a sponsor (or petition) for a foreign national to work in the United States on a permanent basis,i.e. Form I-140, Petition for Alien Worker.
for Second you have to file a immigrant visa petition, I-130 Petition for your spouse. |
