That would depend entirely on what immigrant category your petition was filed under. for example, if your I-130 was filed by your American spouse, then you'll be scheduled for an adjustment hearing, assuming of course you've already filed the I-485. If your I-130 was filed by a legal permanent resident spouse, then you have at least a 5 year wait from the time the petition was filed before you can use it to get immigrant status yourself. there are many different types of I-130s, so there's no way to answer you until we know who filed it, and when. |

You need to file an I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. The fee is $1,010. You have to also file an I-864 Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act. I-693 Medical - Physical is required by an Immigration Approved Physician. G-325 Biometrics needs to be filed as well. You should do this all at the same time and send it in to the address on the Instruction page.
You should also send it along with form I-765 Employment Authorization and form I-131 Travel Document Application. Just in case the process takes too long. These are free as long as you file it with the I-485.
