Need an immigration lawyer to file for GC thru marriage (I am on H1b in US, my spouse is US Citizen)?

Hi all,
I am very low on budget and am looking for some guidance from a professional lawyer while filling the forms (which i have already done mostly). Its just normal guidance i need for some areas left out, or alternative options while in filing for affidavit of support... etc etc.

My husband and I didn't get a lawyer for my GC application... we used a book called "Fiance and Marriage Visas" by Ilona Bray. Everything is explained there as well as a step by step guide on how to fill up the forms. Extremely useful and I received my visa a year after we filed for it.

you dont need a lawyer - you do all the work and they rake in the money for doing nothing IMO.

you dont have any money - So HOW will you pay for a high priced lawyer??

the US citizen spouse nees to apply for change of status for you AND the US spouse MUST have a job to support you.

If it is a simple question, why don't you call the USCIS, they will be happy to help you

I agree with the others here that a lawyer is unnecessary unless you think there is something complicated in your story. File the application and be truthful with the documents and interviews and you will be fine.
