I didn't vote Labour - new or old. However, I'm not going to get excited about the views of an isolationist crank. If we wanted to return to a peasant economy, we'd have to halve the population. On the other hand, if we continue our policy of maximum food production, we'll continue to have a surplus. On a global scale, the world is capable of producing all the food it needs. Shortages are because of human greed and stupidity. I have no patience with idiots who claim that we should import other people's food and other people's goods - but not admit other people. |
