Because the idiots in charge think we have to accommodate the non English speaking people here - so there has to be extra options... like press 2 for Spanish. Whatever happened to Immigrants coming here legally and actually learning the language? |

There is no official language in the United States in the lawbooks. No federal law exists to this point, as far as I know, but I'd love challenges to the contrary. The colonists spoke all kinds of languages, not just English. Not much has changed. |

In reading most of the answers, I once again am assured that the majority of Americans feel about the same way. I encourage all of you to e mail your representatives. It doesn't take long. They will listen..you are their meal ticket...they work for you...to REPRESENT you...tell them to stand up, close the freaking border, account for the illegals, deport them out of our prisons, get them off our welfare rolls, modify the 14th ammendment, etc. |

I wouldn't mind if they offered German or French as well. What bugs me is that it is just English and Spanish and sometimes Spanish comes first. |
