Actually.. I am highly educated and I do not fit in to your classification of "most". Since you asked, I will give you my opinion. I will provide a simple ethical argument even you may understand. An "illegal immigrant" is just that illegal. They should not be rewarded for their unlawful actions by being given food stamps, free medical, housing assistance and schooling. This is taking away from American citizens that may need these services to get through hard times. A good example is the lack of hurricane relief we have provided this last year. The money we are supporting illegals with, could have been spent for people who actually have a dire need and deserve the assistance.

My wife is an immigrant and it took her four years to finally get her citizenship. She did everything to the letter of the law and had no problems. People sneaking across our border and breaking our laws should not be rewarded for doing so. As a good human citizen we should find a way to help them have better lives. Enabling and rewarding them to be criminal is not the help they need. They need help in their own country so they can be with their famly's and friends in their own homeland where they would really rather be if they could.

I would close with this thought. If the illegals who claim to be hard working and taking jobs no one else cares to do, who are brave enough to break our laws. Might they want to consider working as hard and being as brave in their own countries where there efforts would or could make a difference for not just themselves but their other countrymen and countries? Is running from one's problems really the answer?

There is something wrong with your reasoning, most people detest it whenever someone breaks a law, that is why we are so fascinated with crime stories where the perpetrator of the crime is caught.
Therefore we like to see the person who breaks the law get what they deserve.
hence we would like to see illegal aliens who broke the law suffer the consequences.
If you cannot do the time, do not commit the crime.

But hispanics coming over for jobs I think isn't the reason why it's an issue.
There was a lot of Hispanic gangsters illegally crossing over to sell drugs. It's also easier to commit crime without getting caught.

I disagree! i don't compete for jobs with them, and i am not an angry neighbor. I just can't stand the fact that they take half of every check and send it out of our country! that money is a loss to our economy, that's why we can't have music class for our children anymore. There are so many schools that need that money and it is being sent out of the country and it pisses me off!!

I don't agree. I am a multilingual American finishing up my business degree. When I enter the job market, I have no worries about my competition. My husband, who is also hispanic, served for this country and has an excellent job with a nice salary. I have no need to work if I do not desire to-however, it is mind boggling how boring it is at home. Needless to say, we are not on any kind of aid. We live in a majority hispanic city, but I like this. The problems with ILLEGAL immigration are apparent and well noted by even educated people, if you bother to read at all. I enjoy the hispanic culture(and food), I like the different products available when you live on the border, and I love my hispanic friends-most of whom think illegals need to quit asking for handouts and do it legally like they or their parents had to.

I disagree, I have a Master's Degree and live in a very integrated Hispanic area, my workplace is 80% Hispanic, I am not Hispanic, but have many friends and coworkers who are. I have a latina boss and an Anglo boss.

I totally disagree with you. Most "American Citizens" (period) can not stand the changes that have occurred due to the mass quantities of "ILLEGAL" aliens that have invaded the United States. "Middle Class" America has been hit the hardest. Lower class American citizens are the ones that care the least (but still do care), because they are getting the same benefits that the illegals are getting. Whereas lots of middle class American citizens work hard and many don't even have medical benefits when needed.

Also, FYI, I am for deporting illegal aliens back to their country of origin. And (wanna balloon?) I don't have a PhD or a Masters, but I do have a college education. I have yet to encounter an illegal alien working in any place I have worked at since college.
