Obtaining US Citizenship - One parent Canadian/American, Other Canadian?

My mom was born in the USA. When she was 6 she moved to Canada and obtained Canadian citizenship. My dad is a full fledge Canadian. My mom has never since gone back to the USA since leaving at age of 6. I am 19 years old and hold Canadian citizenship (as I was born here in Canada). Can I get American Citizenship because my mom is American?

I'm sorry to say going by the information you wrote here. Under U.S. law your mother didn't meet the residency requirement to register your birth aboard.

btw Children born aboard aren't US Citizenship right away without being registered at the local U.S. embassy before turning 18 years old.

Your mom is still a US citizen. She just is unable to pass the citizenship on to her children.
She would of had to have done her required residence in the US prior to your birth in order to pass on US citizenship.

I would say NO you are NOT entitled to become an american - BECAUSE your mom did not live in USA for 2 years AFTER the age of 14.

this is the US law required to pass on US citizenship to the children.
