Illegals do supress wages. For this reason alone I'm in favour of a tighter immigration policy.

Well, you certainly have a point. Most Americans will not work for the low wages which are paid to illegals. So, in that respect, Illegal Immigrant Advocates also have a point.

But this is Capitalism at it's finest. Americans go on and on, singing the praises of Capitalism. Then, when we see it in action, they whine, moan and complain.

True but what about the fact that undocumented immigrants do work harder and dont just whine and complain? Maybe employers like them even better. I just dont understand people saying that these immigrants get paid less than minimum wage and then turna round and say they steal S.S numbers to work. If they are working witha fake S.S number, dont they get paid at least minimum wage as well? Doenst make sense.

May I also add that there is NO minimum wage job in America today that is performed in majority by illegal immigrants. American citizens make up the majority of workers in ALL MINIMUM WAGE JOBS.

Want my opinion? You're dead on target. If our produce or other good prices go up, we will be better able to afford them because taxes will be lower because we're not keep all of them up on "the system."

Besides, if they like the American dollar, they like the freedom of America, etc. etc. then become AN AMERICAN. What do they want? Do they really want to take over our country and turn it into Mexico? Then they're right back where they started and they drug us down with them!

Anyways, we all need to stop blaming other people for what's going on around us. Have you or anyone else around you called your state representatives and demanded to do something about the minimum wage? If you can't do something simple as that, then your own government won't do anything about it.

It's common sense that if you want something, you should demand it and take it, not whine about it.

I can not avoid the curiosity of reading what many say about us Mexicans.
I have seen people working in the roofing industry and it so nasty that not even I who qualify as a "Beaner" would like to do it, and they get more than $30.00 per hour in The Chicago Area. All you whites and blacks are superior to any people of the world. That is understandable. Then why the hell would you like to be a roofer as one example.

Getting rid of all illegals and some legals would raise wages and force companies to offer more to the american worker, but we would have to also stop outsourcing as well in order to force these corporations from selling us out. I would be happy with higher prices on goods because eventually prices would go down after the economy heals its wounds, and the super rich get use to being just rich. Also perscription drugs prices should drop a great deal and the other countries who get their drugs so cheap because of us will pay through their as*es. These kind of tactics and more are needed if we plan to compete in world trade. Competing in this world market would be tough if wages and benefits go up after kicking out the trash, so we must have a plan to control certain resources, products, and technologies that no one but us can offer the world. There could be a better America, a better way of life, but this will not happen with the current political system we have.
