No amnesty,it only holds to reason. 12 million people have illegally entered the country,by even entering they have had to break US law. Then they have due to their status had to commit document fraud,tax evasion,etc.They work jobs under the table which no taxes get paid on thus removing taxes from the US budget that would otherwise have been there,these jobs after all were going to need done whether an illegal were here or not. And I really do not want to ever hear the jobs Americans won't do crap again,it's hogwash.In fact just yesterday someone posted a story about an illegal working as an unlicensed truck driver being involved in a fatal crash. So the question is when did truck driving become a job Americans won't do?It pays well,it usually has good benefits,seems it doesn't fit the mold of jobs we were told about. But some trucking company found a way to get a cheaper driver by hiring an illegal and all it cost was a human life. There is simply too much of a mess surrounding the whole situation,enter the country legally or not at all.My grandparents entered legally and if it's harder now the legal aliens need look no further than their illegally entering bretheren,that's why it's harder,when you are forced to absorb a million illegals every year you're a lot less likely to increase other immigration numbers. This country has been more generous than almost any country on earth over the years when it comes to immigration,including how little it requires or asks of it's entrants. Go to other lands and in many cases though they may achieve permanent status many of the first generation entrants will never achieve actual citizenship,and yet we are called rascist because we might go so far as to ask you to enter legally follow the rules and learn the language. Anybody that thinks the majority of America is zenophobic needs to really open their eyes,we are however protective of what we have,we built it and we cannot remain the beacon to the world that we have been for two centuries if we allow our next group of entrants to tear down what we have built. |

In other words, it doesn't matter what the survey will show or the law will establish. The reality will be the result of peoples actions: if Americans employ illegals, they will come in spite of the law; if not, they will not come (or they will be unemployed) even if the law says otherwise |
