Considering the post above mine, there seems to be plenty of hate going around.

Nobody hates the people. What Americans object to is the entitlements and freebies that illegals receive on behalf of our screwed up government that even WE don't get.

There's a legal immigration line. Get in it. In your case, kudos to you for contributing to it. But on the other hand, don't pat yourself on the back for all the cheap labor. That job would have paid an American or a LEGAL immigrant more money. .

The reason is because that is the largest group of illegals comming in and invading my country. Your dad broke federal laws by comming here illegally. If he came here legally, then there would be no problem, but he didn't, just like the other majority of mexicans. Once there is a dramatic reduction in the numbers of illegal mexicans invading my country, then not so many Americans will hate mexicans.

I don't think people hate Mexicans, they just want them to go through the process of becoming a legal immigrant or citizen and not coming illegally.

wow, great for your dad, im the type however that believes either something is or is not, the word illegalimmigrant is a complete oxymoron, if its illegal you are not an immigrant of this country, in my eyes anyways.
the days of the industrial revolution are overwith there is no longer a need for such rediculous levels of immigration, be it legal immigration or not and despite whatever one race thinks about the other nobody knows exactly what is really happening to this country.
actually, ya know what who cares, there are so many jobs being lost in the US and moved to outside countries everyday in ten fifteen years immigrants will be jumping the border to find a job in Mexico and China...every race and culture in this country needs to swallow their racial pride and deal with the fact that this country is becomming a complete hole.

Same reason people hate anyone, it is human nature to fear and hate that which we do not understand, however; I draw a huge distinction between racists and then people who oppose illegal immigration.

I'm happy for you, but most Mexicans think that they can come to the U>S> and thing they are citizens just because they are in the U.S. "THey don't serve their country and they think that their real country is Mexico. That's what American's don't like. If you are willing to go to war for the U.S. I definitely think that you are an American, however that doesn't happen often.

Have you filed for US Citizenship? Military service during a time of war (now) allows for expedited Naturalization.

Your dad did things the right way. He came to America he became a citizen and he became apart of America and to that you are grateful and joined the army. Here is the catch most of the Mexicans want to come over and have the free ride. They don't want to work to become citizens. So what happens they turn to drugs and crime and stand out in front of home depot to get paid under the table. They give the Mexicans a bad name. They want the same right as you but don't want to work for them.

The Mexican immigration question goes back more than 150 years after the civil war. Mexicans I think getting the short end by the media smoke screening the issues. Americans like cheap Mexican labor because we can pay them next to nothing, and they wont report us for labor, or human rights violations. I think opening up the borders to pre 1929 boundaries would help in the long run to regularize migration flows. Each time we tighten up the border the more likely the migrants are gonna stay in the Untied States. The right-wing nativist think were all Anglos, and only 10% of the American population orginated from the British Isles, a lot of us came from Germany, France, Russia, not so much British Isles. When I see Tercedos spewing out hypocrisy I think 100 years ago when my ancestors came over they called us alcoholic inbred dummies that didnt know English at all. How could you when they came over from France??? The immigration debate gotta get beyond perceptions and look at the problem as it is and accept were all migrants across the western Hemisphere, were not Europe, Asia, were the Americas.

That is the way they were brought up. A reason for hating is not needed. Some people need somebody to blame for their problems. Some people want to say they are better than other certain people.

everybody hates on everybody.........their called haters............these days who got lots of them.........but if someone is bad mouthing ur family i say kick some a** cuz thats what i would do..........im not mexican but i married one & my kids r half it........im middle eastern & pround of it................we're alll the same no one is perfect love everyone the same, & with respect & treat them like u want to be treated thats how i see it.............good luck hun & be safe

alot of reasoning behind this (as shallow as it is) is that they are illegal, even tho some are its easier to blame larger groups. The same was and still is about African Americans. We hear alot about the bad things they do. Ive heard things about people being on welfare and twisting the system so i know of people who hate minorities b/c of this assumption. So its easier to assume that all of them are bad....the funny thing is when you assume you make an *** out of U and ME. Unfortunatly this will always be the case.

a lot of americans are really ignorant. they feel that since there is a growing population of mexicans that mexicans are taking over. they don't like being in the minority. also, since many do not speak spanish, they feel that mexicans should learn english rather than americans learn spanish to accommodate them. americans like to target different ethnicities for political reasons. for instance, middle easterns (still to this day b/c of 9/11). now, they are more ignorant b/c of immigration policies and how illegal immigrants don't have to pay taxes. they take it out on all mexicans. there are those who don't feel like this but keep their mouths shut so they can agree with what the ignorant ones say. Mexicans do have a bad rep now, but if more and more rise up against the stupid stereotypes against them, the ignorance in peoples minds will change.

It is as easy as this, the racist in this country are not secure with themselves. They are afraid of everything but choose to aim at Mexicans. (but not just Mexicans) Those that have a problem with the Mexicans have a problem with everything and everyone that may not have the same skin color as them, but do not budge to try to unite and make our country a better place. im also a mexican and i see this type of discrimination everyday. its completley uneccessary. these people that are discriminating against us have to realize that we are a major part of this american society and they also must recognize that we have "assimilated" to this nation. our families come to america in seek of an opportunity and these people are just compaining about something just so that they can *****. They have NO real reason to be constantly treating mexicans in such a manner.

wow! i wanted to ask this question too. people hate us cause we are the sh*t!!! it's pretty much only white people that are racist against us brown folks. they suuuck. i hate crackers! well, not all, just the racist ones. it is because they are close minded and ignorant and they like to screw their cousins. their chromosomes are all mest up from the incest.
