It depends on the citizenship rules in your native country. Rules differ drastically from one country to another i.e., Iranians never lose their citizenship, while many countries will not allow dual-citizenship, OR your country may allow you to retain your citizenship but you must do the paperwork ahead of time. Your status in your native country will determine your residential options; if you choose to forgo dual citizenship you will be subject to United States' citizenship travel/ visa regulations. |
