PROS and CONS about IMMIGRATION?

The only CON I can think of is that they raised the labor work ethics bar so high! that Americans have to work even harder to compete with them.

PROS:

1.) They pay BILLIONS in taxes every year, and don't collect those taxes. The taxes they pay help many things like Social Security, Medicare, Local Schools and even road maintenance.

2.) Illegal immigrant workers are now a very important part of Americas work force! They do the work today's Americans don't want to do, many US companies have come to rely on them for their hard work and determination, and they fill the gaps in our labor workforce.

3.) Illegal Immmigrants have been found to be a good mortgage risk because they buy houses they can afford, and houses they want to raise their families in. They do not buy houses to turn around and make a quick buck, or buy the biggest house just to 'keep up with the Jone's' like many Americans did.

4.) Illegal Immigrants are consumers that pump billions into our economy every year. Their value to the economy is $1.8 TRILLION (perrymangroup.com) They buy houses, cars, food, gas, cloths and the list goes on and on. Illegal Hispanics are part of the Hispanic Purchasing power that's expected to reach $1TRILLION by 2011.

I am OPPOSED to immigration . . .

1. An "illegal alien" is by definition . . . commiting a crime.

2. We have UNEMPLOYED Americans . . . same problem in Great Britain . . . so WHY open the doors to foreigners when you can't employ your own people? That makes NO sense.

3. More and more and more . .. . . "immigrants" want to keep their language, their culture, and some are wanting to be governed by their own religious laws? . . . ** laughing ** . . . yeah, . . . right . . .

HELL NO . . . . until we can employ every American . . . there should be NO immigration and those here illegally should be deported to their nation of origin . . . .

Any money an illegal alien puts into the US economy, so would an american worker.
An american worker would definitely pay taxes and not use fake documents.
American workers would not wire $80B out of the country every year.

There is a guest worker program for people who want to do field work.
Illegals are not needed. Most legal immigrants are not needed.
Only if there are jobs available should visas be issued. Our gov issue about 140,000 green cards every month, and an equal number of visas.
Does this sound reasonable when we are losing jobs and 11 Million americans are out of work.

There are hundreds of thousands of jobs in the USA that are held by illegals. If they were deported or fired that would help out our economy., and give hard working americans a chance to work and support their families. As far as I can see there are no PRO's to illegals

Good things: There is millions of immigrants in this country, therefore they are contributing billions of dollars to this economy. Get rid of immigrants and there will be a huge gap in our economy, think realistically people. If we get rid of them that means that those thousands of companies that are ran by americans and are being worked by illegals wages...will go out of Business. They will not be able to employ SO many people at the rate that an american expects to be paid. Its going to affect america regardless. If the government really wanted to get rid of them they have the power to do it.

Bad: There are illegals that are involved with drug trafficking, they must go. There are criminals that are not being able to be tracked because they have no documentation.

in conclusion, theres more good things than bad.

Good things - enough people to do crappy jobs like cleaning, picking vegetables and fruit. Well-qualified immigrants bring their expertise with to country, which is good.
Bad things: immigrants who bring their politics with them, dis-obey laws and get involved with human trafficking.
