I got my Indian passport last week. There is no ECR on my passport, I have seen my friend passport there is the field of ECR (Emigration Clearance Required), my friend while applied a passport with SSLC only. I applied with by degree certificate. This is the reason please Clarify

On the application itself they wud have mentioned, who needs ECR and who not. Since ur friend is only SSLC, he needs ECR. U dont have to bother, cos u dont need it.
Non graduates, govt. emplyees, etc. need ECR. |

Since you presented degree certificate they didn't stamp ECR(previously they use to stamp ECNR for degree holders,professionals) |
