Passport referee- help?

i'm reapplying for my passport as my old one recently expired. I notice on the back of the forms it asks for a referee (who themselves would provide their passport number). i'm away at uni and estranged from my parents so i can't go back home for a referee, any suggestions as to who i might use instead?

I'm going through the same myself!
It has to be a member of the public preferably with professional qualifications eg doctor, lecturer, teacher, policeman, engineer and they have to have known you for 2 years or more.
In my case I'm using a friend who is an engineer and meets the criteria but seeing as you are at uni I would ask one of your tutors/lecturers as long as they have known you for longer than 2 years! |

A family member cant act as a referee, you need either a teacher, lectuerer or doctor that has know you for i believe 3-5 years |

I think that have to declare that they have know you for at least 3 years, your doctor could, though will probably charge you, what about a uni tutor? or do you know anyone that owns a business? |
