Pregnant by man from another country. Can he move to U.S.?

I am United States citizen and he is German Citizen. If I get pregnant by him and have his child can he get legal right to live in United States because he has a child here or would we have to be married in order for him to be able to live in United States?

There are 2 ways that he can live in US:
a. Fiance Visa
You have to file I-129F petition for him, intention is to get married in US and then he will be given a conditional Green Card
b. Get married, and you have to file I-130 petition for him. If approved, then he will be able to get to US and obtain a Green Card.
But it will take some time to process. |

Being fertile is no reason to move to US. He needs to be a spouse to immigrate. You need to file a green card application for him after you get married or apply for fiance visa. |

Having a child does not give him the right to live in the States. You would need to sponsor him as an individual or marry him. Sponsoring him as an individual means that he will become a US Citizen after 10 years whereas marrying him would allow him to apply for his citizenship after 3 years of receiving his green card. |

You will have to be married and make sure he isn't using you just to get legal rights to be in the states. |

no - for him to move to US permanently, you need to be married. Otherwise he can visit on a Visa |
