Question about an interview I-751 Petitions to remove the conditions on residence?

My husband and I have a real marriage. We have 2 kids together.
Now say at the interview we lied about something other than our marriage. Our marriage is real.
What could happen to me and my husband if they found out we lied about something other than our marriage?

Any lie that you tell to immigration is potentially damaging if they find out, but I am sure the some lies carry more weight then other. Like if you said you NEVER committed a crime (whether you were arrested or not), and then they found out you have an arrest record that would be a big no no..... If you lied by saying neither of you have been married before and really you have, or if you lied about having 2 kids together those are all big lies..... if you want a more definitive answer you need to say what type of thing you lied about.

It depends on what you lied about. Fraud can be considered a crime of moral turpitude. An immigrant, such as your husband, who engages in a crime of moral turpitude will normally be deported.

Don't lie. It's much easier to keep it straight than trying to get away with lies.

by reading you here often, i know about what your lie would consist of, so? if i were you? i would not even try it..

but if you really think you are smart enough to outdo USCIS ? try it..
