Question about joining the army and immigration.?

Well at the moment i am 14. My friends and i are planning on joining the army as soon as we become 18. The problem is my parents came over on a visa when i was 5 and it expired when i was 6. I would like to know what process i would have to take in order to enlist in the army at the age of 18. It is the future i chose to follow.
Additional Details
i would do any thing to get a chance to serve this country.

Straight is Great!
I am 100% against illegal immigration and believe all should be deported but if someone loves this country enough to put their life on the line, they are the immigrants we need and love.

I believe you could join and earn your citizenship. I may be wrong or it could have changed but I believe they will assist you with paperwork.

WhyMe?
Illegals can't enlist in the US Army because the government does not break its own rules by hiring illegals.

According to the new rules, not only green card holders and US citizens can join the military but also people who have been living in the US for at least two years on a valid visa may be considered. That's your only chance.

The only way to legalize your status is to go back to your country and apply for a visa from there. If you leave the US before you turn 19, you will get no penalty and will be able to apply for a student visa, for example, which will let you join the military after 2 years of living in the US legally IF they still have this new rule (this is just a trial for it so it is not likely that they will still have it in 4-6 years). You could consider sponsorship for employment as an other option though.

The law does not punish children of illegal aliens if they leave voluntarily as grown-ups. If you decide to stay beyond 19, you will be considered an illegal who broke the law by himself also because by that time, you'll be able to use your free will to move or stay. Of course, your parents made a huge mistake and set you up for failure in many ways: you will never be able to get a good job and you will have to be afraid of deportation for the rest of your life if you stay.

you can't you have to be a citizen by birth or naturalization. permanent residents can't serve in the army. If you aren't already a permanent resident become on if you can. then you have to wait about 7 years to apply for citizenship. Now even if your green card expired and you have been here illegally since then there are special rules because of the amount of time you have spent here that will allow you to receive permanent residency. but you definitely have to wait a while before becoming a citizen

Well, unless the law changes, you wouldn't get a chance to serve in the US military. maybe the law will change in the next 4 years. there is also some discussion to allow foreigners, which you are legally, however you feel, to join the US army and get green card status that way. however, I don't think that's passed yet, but keep an eye out, you never know.

If you are legal immigrant you can join at the age of 18. If you are illegal you no can't join.

You must be US Permanent Resident (Green card holder) or US Citizen to join the army. If you don't have legal status, you cannot join.

If your High School has a ROTC class, ask the C.O. . He or she might have a solution to your problem.
