Question about my husband and interview I-751 (Petitions to remove conditiond on residence) with immigration.?

My husband and I have a real marriage. We have 2 kids together.
Now say at the interview we lied about something other than our marriage. Our marriage is real.
What could happen to me and my husband if they found out we lied about something other than our marriage?

It depends on what you lied about. If you are really married and you went through all the things to get him (or you) registered as a legal citizen or resident then you should be ok. As long as you are both legal residents/citizens and you didn't do anything illegal I'd say you have nothing to worry about.

It depends on what you lie about. If the lie involves something substantial then your husband's green card will be removed and he'll be deported. Even if it's years from now and your husband is an American citizen they'll strip him of his citizenship and deport him.

As for you, you can be charged with visa fraud. That carries a 5 year prison term and fine not to exceed $250,000.
