Question regarding visas to the USA.?

My mother (who is a UK Citizen) has married a US Citizen. Which visa would be most ideal for the maximum possible stay in the US?

The only downside is, I am an unmarried child over 21 currently and at the time of their marriage.

Your maximum stay is 3 months on the visa waiver program or 6 months on a B-2 tourist visa.

Given your age your stepfather cannot petition you. Your mother can file an immigration petition for you under priority Family 2B. It will take about 9 years for you to get a visa.

Your mother could file for you as soon as she gets her Green Card. Then, she could file for US citizenship 3 years after getting her Green Card. Upon becoming a US citizen she could get your petition upgraded to Family 1. That will cut 2 years off your wait.
