Quick and simple question.....What right do the illegal aliens have to protest?

They have no right to protest. I think they should go back to their respective countries and seek change in their own country instead of another. Why should another country make concesions for you when you're not a citizen? Does'nt make much sense does it?

None. They have no right to protest in the US. It seems sad that they would run from their own country where protests are seriously needed, to protest in another. I assume they do it , because there's no risk to their lives. The Mexican people are shooting themselves in the foot with these protests. There were a lot more people sympathetic to letting them stay until they started to march the streets holding Mexican flags. It's sad that they would hurt their own cause this way.

It's sad. Our politicians are as corrupt as yours in Mexico. They're just more subtle about it. The people know better, but we don't have any real power.

Illegals deserve nothing more than basic human rights. If I break the law, I will be punished. It's only fair that the same happens to people like you.

Why don't you just become legal? That is what i don't understand, why the illegal aliens don't just become legal citizens. then nobody would care if you are here or not. It makes no sense to me that you come here and want rights but you don't want to become a citizen. you should go back to mexico. we should at least give you a one way ticket back or you should be arrested for breaking our laws. I have a question. If Viva Mexico is you answer to people who don't care for illegals, then why are you here in the first place? I think you have the right to protest from a jail cell, or perhaps the right to complain about the bus ride during deportation, but that is about it.

This is an easy answer. One of the basic questions on the U.S. citizenship exam is: "Who is granted the rights guaranteed by the constitution", the answer, "anyone in the domain of the United States." This is part of the constitution, whether you are just passing through, here on a student visa, are a citizen, or an illegal alien. To change this, you'd have to amend the constitution. This is why the hostages at GITMO have even been granted a right to a lawyer and a trial, since military bases are considered U.S. domain. Certain privileges are granted by prescription, such as voting, holding elected office, etc. But the rest (i.e., free speech, trial by jury, etc.) are guaranteed to anyone who steps foot in our domain. Just as if American citizen stepped foot in another country, they are no longer protected by the rights of the U.S. constitution, because they are no longer under its domain.

I say by all means, any illegal alien should be given the same rights as all of us here have. They should at the minimum have Human and Civil rights. The majority of the people that come in from Mexico are just here to make a living that in Mexico they wouldn't have. What's wrong with that? I mean, whatever happened to "Give me your weak, your poor. Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free...."? It's just sad to see that most of these responses are filled with hatred towards the illegals.

Plus, there's nothing wrong to showing ones pride of their heritage. So I too say, Viva Mexico!
