I was at the store in the check out line. In front of me was an immigrant (my money says illegal) but anyway he was buying several bottles of Hydroxycut and he produces papers that have a Red Cross letterhead that causes the cashier to give him tax exemption.
Anyone know why this guy was getting tax exemption from Red Cross for some diet pills?

BTW, if you can tell someone's immigration status just by looking, you are needed at ICE. The rest of us need to actually examine documents........
In my town, yes I could go down the street and point out illegals. However, my question is not whether the whole country should act dumb and turn a blind eye to the obvious, it is why someone could be using Red Cross papers to buy diet pills tax free.

He was acquiring them for the Red Cross? Anyone other than the ultimate consumer can avoid paying sales tax. BTW, if you can tell someone's immigration status just by looking, you are needed at ICE. The rest of us need to actually examine documents |
