Rejected for E2 visa, please help?

I bought a business in the United States, and went to the embassy to apply for E2 visa. I had all my documents with me, but the officer didn't ask me even one question about the business and was just asking about my family and where they are. At the end, he told us to forget this case and told my wife, her family is in the US, to apply for us. I don't know if he didn't know what the E2 visa was or what, but he didn't even ask us one question or look at our documents. Please help me and tell me what to do now.

Well, all you can do is try again. however, some places only have one officer who does E visas, since they are very complicated. You might consider hiring a US immigration attorney to represent you and send a letter to the consulate outlining specifically why you are qualified for the visa. There are several types of E2 categories. But, you are right, it's not like applying for a tourist visa and the case should have been decided on its own merits, for better or worse. |

appeal. request the form to apeal that decision. and write an affidavit that that officer didnt conduct the interview properly and in regards to material facts as far as you are concerned.
get his supervisor talk to you and explain what the problem is. |
