Its not an uncommon thing in Europe. In the 1980s while I was in Italy, the gypsies (Romanians) were EVERY where begging and picking pockets. They are good at picking pockets as one of the women had her hand in my pocket and around my wallet. Fortunately my wallet catches on my pants.

It's normal for Romanians to do this. They do it at home - the children have usually been sold by poor ignorant peasants - so of course they're going to do it here in the UK.

I've seen Romanian beggars on the streets of London for at least the last 15 years - it's not going to change.

i saw a program about this a while back. they have a police station in London that they call the creche as there are so many children arrested and kept there. of course they all get set free to do it over and over again. the police are powerless to do anything.
