That is so right ......I am 13 years old .An American - Latina and all i ever hear people say about immigrants is that there taking our money this and that. Immigrants come to America for a better life ; to work for what they want and just because they get a little help form the government people think that makes them terrible. Welfare has been around for years. It has been available TO AMERICAN CITIZENS but as soon as immigrants come in, they are a the "problem". Blaming immigrants doesn't get us anywhere and it never will!!!

I see your point, especially about the employers, BUT, the illegal could come here legally if they wanted. No one is forcing them to sneak in here illegally. OK.........you are obviously an immigrant...probably an illegal one, so this is what I have to say to you.....when you and your "familia" chose to hop over the boarder and risk being shot, you made a decision to come into "OUR COUNTRY" and take work from "OUR PEOPLE" and did not even have the decency to learn "OUR LANGUAGE" before you got here so NO, I do not feel bad for you, your family, or any other illegals as you CHOSE to come over here and we the AMERICAN people have chose not accept you. t these same companies that you blame for giving them jobs did not get them on flimsy boats to get here. these ILLEGAL immigrants paid a lot of money for passage on leaky, rotten boats to get here. the people only employed them after the fact. and just what does the word ILLEGAL mean to you? to me it means against the law. some them are families and want a better life by coming here but they should do like so many before them have done and become citizens. there is help for them if they become legal. i would like to see all the illegals rounded up. put on boats and sent back to where ever they came from. i live near orlando and the crime rate there is outrageous. most of those criminals are, you guessed it, illegals.

Well since some people here say Latinos make up the majority of illegal immigrants... here is who I blame:

1. Mexican government for not doing enough to open jobs for Mexican people.

2. Republicans for using the illegal immigration issue every election year to bash Latinos and get votes. But when they get elected they don't do anything like Bush.

3. American businesses for doing what they do for PROFIT. But if there are no illegal immigrants then they'd move to China or India.

And your comment about welfare is true... but you need to check on how many local illegals are getting welfare, food stamps, subsidized housing, etc.... but they still don't have a drivers license or insurance.

It's not welfare's, or the employer's fault that they come over here. It's their fault that they come over here. They have brains just like everyone else, and they come over if they want to or not. It's their fault that they broke the law. Not the employers.

1. In my town, illegal aliens are tax-free, get free college schooling, AND money from the government

2. If we let this continue, other countries will get the idea they can too so the new immigrants will bankrupt the government, causing a whole collapse of our precious Washington D.C. and most likley, the immigrants will overrule us all and chaos will stricken everyone

the Illegal immigrant issue takes away from the real issues.

They are a scapegoat for our politicians and more important the people because they can't deal with the real issues that affect all of us.

Such as:
Globalization
our disappearing manufacturing base
the war on terror and the never ending scenario of that.
our out of touch medical costs and those that profit from it.
our legal and criminal justice system where it is estimated we incarcerate 1/3 of the world prisoners.
The stupid wars we get into.
Our partisan politics that is built on hate and not common sense.
Global warming.

The list is just about endless.

We blame everyone else for our ills without looking at ourselves and realizing we are screwing up our future, but more importantly, our children's future.

Here's who I think are to blame:

1. Mexico - People wouldn't be leaving by the millions if the Mexican government wasn't so greedy and corrupt.

2. Liberals - They need to be speaking out about the Mexican government and worrying about the well being of US citizens rather than people who sneak over the border, join gangs and become some of the most ruthless criminals in the USA.

3. Conservatives - Anything for a buck, right? The "blueblood" old money conservatives should be ashamed of themselves by hiring illegals. The founding fathers would be outraged...!

4. LEGAL Mexican-Americans - Those who legally became citizens and learned to speak English should be outraged as well.
