Shold i call immigration on my father in-low?

My father in -low is muslim and made treats to me. He planing to visit us again.He told my husband he can put hands on me and want me to became muslim too.(sick!) If i call INS on him will that affect my husbands citizenship (we are green card holders)? I don't want him to came because he is making problem between us. How better report him?

Thank you so much for your support!! If report my father-in- low , i afraid , my husbund can go together with him .Then my children will be without finacial support. I dont want that happen to my children. My father in-low is not crazy -he just regular muslim, and muslims dont belive that woman is human being.He is his country now, and maybe better for him to stay there.Sure, I make mistake to marry muslim.But now i am need to escape some how from this sitation.

I don't think INS is the best answer for this very tough challenge. This is especially true if your father-in-law is a citizen or is a green card holder. This is, first and foremost, something you need to talk about with your husband. You need your husband to be on your side. He needs to understand your feelings and know what you have experienced. There are many loving ways to express this to him and to make the necessary appeal. Ultimately, your husband needs to stand up to his father and ask his father to stop. Meanwhile, no one hopes it will ever come to involving local authorities. But, if things don't change, you may have to go your local police as a last resort. To protect yourself and to provide evidence, I highly suggest for you to start a journal and maybe seek out advise from a trustworthy local women's group. You father-in-law needs to know that he cannot and will not put his hands on you and that he cannot and will not force you into any religion. Your father-in-law needs to know that he cannot manipulate either you or your husband. He may be doing this as a way to express his displeasure of his son marrying outside of their faith. But, there are much better ways to express his displeasure.

See more than one psychologist for their opinion on what to do. How well do you know your father in law? He is mentally sick, could he possibly be violent also? You really need some expert help now for your situation, and definitely call police if he does something innapropriate to you.

I think maybe you should divorce your husband if she says it's okay for his father to put hands on you. Immigration officials probably won't do anything about threats as far as deportation is concerned if you call them. But local police may help you, which could ultimately lead to attention from Immigration officials.

You can but USCIS won't do anything unless he violates any part of the INA, laws which govern immigration and CIS/ICE have jurisdiction over. As for this if you feel threatened then contact the police and possibly seek an restraining order provided you have proof.

how does your father in law enter the US? surely as green card holders you cannot sponsor him? where is he from?
why don't just leave that whole family? not sure what you are doing with muslims anyway?

Let him come, see if your husband touches you. If he does divorce him and get the scumbags deported. Teach them a lesson on how civilized society works.
