If you are moving for the health insurance...don't, it's rationed. Health care here is not that bad. Hospitals have to treat people....although statistics say there are millions of people uninsured, it's not really so. statistics are a pie, some people are uninsured, because they want to be. Check around You tube and you'll find information that Moores' film doesn't cover. Great film, just don't make any big changes based on that.

british columbia is beautiful. Vancouver is a great city w lots of immigrants & expat Americans. Great skiing at Whistler as well. Higher taxes than the US though.

I was thinking of moving my family to Canada also. I am self-employed in the US. I have been unable to obtain insurance for my family because of my preexisting health condition. Despite my health problem, I am extremely productive in my business and have many skills to offer. I have patents pending and would like to start a small factory in Canada based on the patents. I am concerned that my life will be much shorter in the US without any health care. The US has become very unfriendly to small businesses recently in favor of larger corporations and this is also weighing on my decision.
