Yes!!
Illegals are breaking the law, increasing crime rates, hurting the economy, not paying all taxes, stealing jobs, putting a financial burden on our health care and education systems, and not respecting American laws or citizens. |
|

Ya heard me
 |
As they are caught yes. In the meantime secure our borders, enforce our immigration laws, fine anyone that hires them or even rents to them, no more freebies, etc. Do this and they will self deport. |

Yes! Not only should they be deported, but our borders and ports should be quickly and thoroughly secured to prevent them sneaking back. Many who are deported, just sneak right back in. If they wish to return, unless they are banned for a certain period for invading our country, they are free to apply to return legally. They have no right to be here and should be treated as the illegal alien invaders they are! |

I understand how some have very little money but don't understand why if they are so poor, why do they continue to make large families down over the boarder? Some immigrants came here on work visas and went back to their country when they were suppose to. I say it's correct if they do that.
Now in today's hard times, it's crazy because you have people who pay for their insurance and it's not cheap while at the same time some illegal somehow got on medicare and pays nothing. Or we need to pay taxes and they don't or take jobs while the citizens are struggling. Plus it's pretty annoying that they steal our jobs, our money, be on the system and yet can't even speak English some of them. If they don't want to do it correctly and pay their dues like we have to, then deport. |

Yes they should. why should we have to live by our laws just because we are citizens. They should also need to do things legally or we send the message that our laws do not apply to them just us. |

The very first word dictates the course of action. My own vote would be a sort of catch-and-release policy:
When a person is determined to be in this country illegally, take him/her to the police station where the person is photographed and fingerprinted and the record sent to the FBI's NCIC. Take the person to the border and release them.
If a person is determined to be in this country illegally and has already been picked up for this (positive hit on the NCIC record), automatic jail sentence of one year, no time off for good behavior. When released, take him to the border and release him.
Third time, 20 years federal time.
If a person is released at the border and then initiates citizenship proceedings the record does not count against them unless they got jail time for it.
So, they get a one-time free ride that doens't hurt them to apply for citizenship, but if they keep doing it they are treated like criminals. |

No Amnesty

Yep....
Restrain
Repatriate
Repeat......
And as Tony likes to say, "they are entwined". The only thing that ties them to us is the fact they steal or make-up our social security numbers..
Any argument that they "contribute" as he like to say, doesnt take into account that whatever they put back into the system, they still stole it in the first place... |

Yes, they are here illegally. People with no respect for a countries laws are criminals. They should also be prevented from applying for and obtaining citizenship in the future, as our county doesn't need more criminals.
However, deportation won't work on the a12 million+ illegal immigrants here now. The government needs to enforce current laws against employing illegal immigrants, and when there are no jobs, they will leave on their own.
American citizens can do their part by boycotting businesses that employ illegal immigrants, and discussing illegal immigration in public forums and with local politicians. |

Yes. They can return when they file the paper work through proper channels. |

No. Because, who is to say that one piece of land is "theirs" or someone Else's? Also, if these people are desperate enough to enter the country illegally, there must be a good reason. The only reason to send them back is if they have ridiculously bad criminal record (terrorism etc.). You must remember that EVERYONE in Europe is an Immigrant, as human life developed in south Asia. |

Yes.
Mostly to make an example that we are serious about illegal immigration. We always talk about illegal immigration, but never really do anything.
Don't get me wrong, if you want to come to America, great, we welcome you. But please do it legally. |

The ones with criminal records?....YES! because those very few make the rest of them look bad.....and that's a very small percentage, but a lot of Americans see 2 or 3 that have committed a crime, and they assume they are all like that.
The ones in good standing? ......NO! they are too intertwined in our economy, that getting rid of them would cause an economic meltdown.

Deporting the undocumented
Using publicly available data, this report provides the first cost assessment of a policy designed to deport all undocumented persons. We estimate the costs of a mass deportation effort would likely be at least $206 billion over five years, and could be as high as $230 billion or more.
While the net benefits of adopting such a policy are largely speculative, we do know that spending $41 billion annually over five years ($206 billion in total) would:
* Exceed the entire budget of the Department of Homeland Security ($34.2 billion).
* Approach the total amount of money requested by the 33 federal agencies responsible for homeland security activities ($49.9 billion).
* More than double annual spending on border and transportation security ($19.3 billion).
* Comprise half the annual cost of the Iraq War ($74 billion) and More than double the annual cost of military operations in Afghanistan ($16.8 billion). |

The Cursed Blessing
|
No. Since they're here, we should use them to our advantage. Make them do the work nobody else wants to do in order to earn their citizenship. Military enrollments are down. Make them EARN their citizenship by having them serve the U.S. military. That way, we'll solve two problems with 1 solution.
OR have them do community service for about 5000 hours spread over a two or three year period. These solutions will get work done across the country and encourage people to come to America legally.
However, anyone who is here illegally and commits serious acts of crime should be deported immediately. Repeat offenders should be deported illegally. Illegals do NOT have the rights to vote, get a driver's license, health care, etc. |
