I'm sorry to say yes I think there should be.
We also should implement a system that when allowing people to come and work here it should be on a work permit only basis not immigration status, this is how it works in loads of other countries. We have to remember we are an Island and we are getting full to bursting and local authorities cannot cope with the influx of immigrants that are arriving on a daily basis. |

Absolutely, other countries have selective immigration so why should the UK be any different? Unfortunately if this is ever introduced it is likely to be too little action too late. |

I agree, we are keeping too many immigrants at the expense of our own people. |
|

"we dont do duvets"...
 |
Well we shouldn't let anyone in without documentation, this is basic immigration control which we sadly cant get our head around. For all we know Bin Ladin could be living in Hull, we have no idea who is here. The Government shouldn't put it's people in this position !! |

yes i think so. I know some people who ring their families back home telling them the British goverment pay them when they have no work, give out money to help look after their kids, they get free housing, give them money for being sick even get cars for free. They tell them to come to Britain they think its great. I know some countries where if they dont work they only get pittance and thats only for a month or so.. They say in our country the money falls off the trees. |

There is a major major problem with kids who have left school without qualifications and have learning difficulties.
The jobs that are normally open to them are being taken by people whom are taken on via 'agencies'.
The problem will be when a lot of these kids reach 18 the govt is going to have to start handing out benefit, and they, the government has woken up to this fact.
These kids want to work but find it so very very FRUSTRATING that no one will take them on just so they can earn a little money for themselves and feel a part of society. |

YES DEFINITELY !!!!
The needs of the people in this country have to come first. I think other countries in Europe should now take some of the pressure off us. I am especially in favour of stopping spouses coming over from the Asian sub-continent. They do nothing but cause problems once they are over. (British born Asian speaking from experience) |

Seems reasonable, but not that simple.
By immediate, I guess you do not include the family's of those already welcome here being invited still?
More clarification please. |
