Good point, senor! I think that if you can find a way or have the cahones and resourcefulness to make the trip, you should get some consideration. I always thought that the idea that Santa Ana was the bad guy at the Alamo and that the soldiers of "fortune" he ousted were patriots. Cruz Bustamonte was part of a group who wanted to re-annex the SW United States into Mexico. Is Mexico deporting any of the Salvadorans and Hondurans who have taken up residence where scampering Mexicans once lived.

The American Government should take a better look at the overall problems before giving Amnesty to anyone. I think one thing better, would be to question what they have to offer the United States by their education and skills before granting Amnesty. There are a good number of immigrates that no one really hears about that are a benefit to our country. Those people and their families come to the United States and became part of this country without becoming problems..That is what immigration was like many years ago, not with the problems we have now with all the people that want their rights and nothing to offer this country in return. |

And no, Mexico never had a firm hold of what is now Western United States. Native AMericans disputed that it's Mexican land, and there very vary few who cross over. That was why Mexico invited AMericans over. THey needed "white people to help defend the land from the Natives. They felt more akin to Whites, becaue of their SPanish heritage.
